Some Points of VitaJ Interest About the ^^
White Sale
Is it surprising' that our White Sale continues such a success?
eptibnal values offeretl in White Goods and IJousehold Linens is evidenced by an unprecedented liberality of buying.
The “Eagle Brand” Undermuslins, those widely known, non-sweat-shop garments of which we are the exclusive Albany sellers, have added greatly to their local

opularity this season. This brand is one of recognized'excellence, the country over, so much so that the city store which secures the agency for the “Eagle Brand”
onsiders itself fortunate indeed. Nor is this to be wondered at, when the many points of excellence in these garments are considered. There is a beauty of style, a
generosity of size; a perfection of fit and an excellence of workmanship and finish that commend this reliable brand to careful buyers.
Of Embroideries much might be said, but it will suffice to again emphasize the importance of supplying your wants in this line now, when our stock is in such
atisfying completeness, Later many of the popular, novelties, especially iu the imported goods which cannot be replaced, will have been sold, and disappointment
: may fall to the lot of those who delay. No description that we might attempt could adequately convey the wonderful beauty of the Embroideries created this
season, but we heartily invite all to visit the display and assure them that a feast of loveliness awaits them.'
The final word must be devoted to the exceptional values—to the apparent unfitness of the prices to the qualities—J i,-iig this sale. This is simply because
we took advantage of a most opportune time to buy, many months ago, before the recent advances. Then, our wholes ihi connections have been a wonderful
•help to us also, because it lias enabled us to buy in many lines iu such enormous quantities as'to secure the best prisible p-ic.-.s from the manufacturers.
You will receive equal welcome at this store whether you come as a buyer or simply as a a admirer of exqisitb things.

Chief of Police Richard N. West
brook is wearing a gold medal of
which he is^ pardonably proud.
The medal was pinned, day before
yesterday, to the blue coat which
covers the broad expanse of the. .chief’s
chest Officer Raley walked up to the
hend of the force and, being nothing
of a speech-maker, pinned the medal
where it belonged without formality
or ceremony. The chief did pot know
what was happening until the little
ceremony was over. Then he took the
medal off and looked at it. After
ward lie pinned it back in place, and
has worn it ever since.
The medal is of solid gold, and the
design is handsome. On the obverse
sldo Is engraved “Chief of Police.”
On the reverse side is the simple in
scription, “From the Police Force.”
The pin from which the medal de-
nouds bears the chief’s name.
The token was a remembrance from
the force which served under Chief
Wostbrook during 1905. Several of
last year's officers have retired since
the new year, but they do not wish to
be forgotten iby their chief. The
medal guarantees that they will not
be.

Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy the
Best Made.
“In my opinion Chamberlain’s
Cough Remedy is the best made for
colds,” says Mrs. Cora Walker, of
Porterville, California. There is no
doubt about its being the best. No
other will cure a cold so quickly. No
other is so- sure a preventive of
pneumonia. No other is so pleas
ant and safe to take.- These are
good reasons why • it should be
preferred to _ any other. The fact
is that few people are satisfied with
any other after having once used this
remedy. For sale by Sale-Davis Drug
