ROAD TO LEESBURG IS OPEN ONCE MORE SHORT PRICES ON SHORT LOTS TODAY’S FOREIGN AND DOMES TIC COTTON QUOTATIONS. High Waters pf the Klnchafoonee Had Rendered it Impassable. Assortments are Elegant china at cut prices, broken, so we want to close them out Six inch Plates, worth $1.25, now $1.19 a set. Eight inch Plates, worth $1.75, now $1.38 a set. 75c Berry Bowls now 59c. Covered Dishes, worth $2.25, now $1.75. Soup Plates, worth $1.75, now $1.38 set. Vehicles may now pass the Klncha foonee creek, two miles above the city, via the Leesburg road. The recent high water In the creeks rendered the passage of the stream impossible, except for parties on horseback. The bridge was not af fected, but the creek had hacked out into the flats on the south side of the stream, making several temporary streams which pursued a course par allel to that of the' main channel of the creek. The current in one of the runs which was spanned by a small brldgp, was of suillclent strength to dislodge the bridge from its fastenings, and this matter had to be brought to the attention of Superintendent Pinson, of tile road brigade. Yesterday the bridge was moved back to its position and more securely moored, and no further trouble is anticipated. Vehicles may again cross at this point, and as the waters of the creek have receded, no difficulty is experienced in traveling between Albany and Leesburg. As soon as the freshet entirely sub sides, or in the course of a few days, the road force will put in a part of a day on the road just south of the creek, and the roadway will be thrown up to a height sufficient to make it cer tain that high water will at no time.in the future interfere with travel in that direction.
