AiOntfm DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY FOR COUNTY OFFICERS. Election to Be Held March 22—Rules and Regulations as Prescribed by County Democratic Executive Com* mlttee. Albany, Ga., February 6, 1906. In compliance with action of the Democratic Executive Committee of Dougherty County at a meeting held on Saturday, February 3, at which all members of the committee were pres ent, a white Democratic primary elec tion is hereby ordered to be held at tho Court House in Albany and at the precinct at Pretoria on Thursday, March 22, 1906, for the nomination of county officers, viz: Sheriff, Clerk of tho Superior Court, Tax Collector, Tax Receiver, Treasurer, Coroner, and Sur veyor. For the. information of voters and in justice to.all parties concerned, it is deemed proper to here state that a question has arisen ns to whether the ofllco of Clerk of the Superior Court will continue to carry with it the of fice of Treasurer, or whether the of fices of Clerk and Treasurer will con tinue In consolidation in this county— said question having arisen out of a decision of the Supreme Court in an analogous case in Cobb county. The Democratic Executive Committee" has not presumed to pass upon this ques tion of law, but, being advised that one or more candidates will run for the office of Treasurer and have the ques tion as to whether the offices of Clerk and Treasurer shall still be consoli dated, or separated, # decided In the courts, the committee has provided for the nomination of a candidate for Treasurer in the primary-so as to leave no excuse for any man to run in the general election without having first submitted his candidacy to the white Democratic voters of the county. This primary shall be held under the general state law governing pri mary elections. The chairman of the executive com mittee will appoint'the managers and clerks for said primary, and the fol lowing rules and regulations will be enforced: Each candidate will be required to pay to the chairman of the executive committee not later than the noon of March -20 the sum of $5 for the ex pense of the election, including tickets. The committee will have tickets printed with the names of all candi dates printed thereon, and voters will erase all names except those for whom they desire to vote, and only those not erased will bo counted. The use of money, whiskey, car riages, or other inducements for the purpose of influencing voters Is pro hibited, and the committee will rule out any candidate who may be proved to be guilty of employing any such means. Only registered white Democratic voters will be eligible to vote in this primary. The polls will open at 8 o’clock a. m. and close at 5 o’clock p. m. The executive committee will meet at noon on Friday, March 23, receive the returns from the managers, hear protests and complaints, if there be any, and declare the result of the pri mary. ' H. M. Just 27 miles from the classic city of Athens, Ga., Is located the thriv ing little town of Maxey's the residence of Mr. Robert Ward, who hnB Just been released from the most perilous predicament, the particulars 1 of which ho has consented to give to the publlo. He writes tas-follows. Maxey’s Oglethorpe Co., Ga., July J. For 12 or 14 years I have been a great sufferer with a terrible form of Blood Poison (Syphilis), which ran Into' the secondary,- and finally it wsb - pronounced a ternary form. My head, face and shoulders became alm> st a solid mass of corruption, and finally the disease commenced eating away my skull bones. I became so horribly repulsive that for three years I absolutely refused to let people see me. I used large quantities of the most noted blood remedies, and applied to nearly all physicians near me, but my condition continued tot grow worse, and all said I must surely die. My bones became the seat of excruciating aches and pains; my nights were passed In misery; I was reduced In flesh and strength; my kid neys were terribly deranged, and life became r burden to me. I chanced to see an advertisement of B. B. B., and Bent $1 to W. C. Blrchmore & Co., merchants of our place, and they prooured one bottle for me. It was used with decided benefit. I continued Its u«e and when eight. .or ten bottles had been used was pronounced sound and well. Hundreds of scars can now be seen on me, looking like a man who had been burned and thon restored. My case Is well known In this coun ty, and for the benefit of others who may, be similarly affeoted, I think It my duty to give facts to the public, end to extend my heartfelt thanks for so valuable a remedy. I have been welt over 12 months, and no re- turn of the disease has occurred. POBERT WARD. Maxey's Ga., July 1. We, the undersigned, know Mr. Robt.
