The “Deestrict Skulo” is postponed. It was to have been the attraction at th$ Rawlins theatre tills evening, I being I presented by a large number of well-known ladies and gentlemen, hut will he put on Monday night in stead. The postponement is partly on ac count of the x very disagreeable weath er conditions prevailing and partly be cause of the indisposition of several of those who have important parts in the entertainment. Other considera tions were not without Influence in bringing about the postponement.. But the entertainment will positive ly he presented on Monday evening. Tickets reading for tonight will he good for the entertainment when it takes place. The “Deestrict Skule" Is being looked forward to with a great deal of interest, and will he one of the brightest amateur entertainments ever witnessed in Albany. Savannah, Ga., Feb. 8. — Officers have been elected for what is to he the. biggest hank between Baltimore and New Orleans. It is the consoli dation of the Citi7.ens Bank and the Southern Bank of the State of Geor gia. The officers chosen today were: President—Mills B. Lane. Vice-President—John Flannery. Second Vice - President — H. A. Crane. Assistant to the President—George C. Freeman. Cashier—Gordon L. Groover. Assistant Cashier—R. S. Rockwell. The name of the combined hank is to be “The Citizens 'and Southern Bank.” Mills B. Lane< the Roving spirit in the combination, belongs to the Brooks county family of Lanes, and while one of the youngest banking men in Savananh, is one of the strong est. The new hank starts with fine pros pects, and has just increased its capi tal stock to $750,000. * The Yellow Fever Germ has recently been discovered. Savannah, Ga., Feb. 8'.—A tentative program has been agreed upon by the Knights of Pythias of Savannah for the entertainment of Supreme Chan cellor Shively when he visits this city on Friday, P^bruary 1C. He is to be entertained with an automobile ride to Thunderbolt and in the evening he will deliver a public address at the Guards’ Hall. At night he will at tend a banquet at the DeSoto hotel. Grand Chancellor Brannon, of Talbot- ton, and the other Grand L6dge of ficers will he Invited to meet him when he cbmes.
