“The Dustless T rail
SI”
.i
Not the title of a novel: Only the track
which a ;“BiSSeH” leaves. ,
The s ‘Bissell” is the greatest of car*
pet sweepers.
- It is perfect in construction. Pulled or
pushed, it picks from carpets, mattings,
rugs or naked floors every particle of dust
and trash,
It is practically noiseless. It is al
most indestructible, and will last for years.
It can be emptied of its accumulation of
trash without soiling the hands or garments.
It is an ornament, being finished in
polished woods. /
It doubles the length of the life of a
carpet, for it cleans it without destroying
its texture.
We sell the “Bissell”. Full line
on hand.
Prices $3 to $5.

The Orphans’ Home Band gave a
concert at the Intersection of Broad
and Washington streets this morning.
The boys put up mighty good music,
and quite a crowd was attracted. A
collection was |g,ken up, which netted
a neat sum for the worthy institution.

The Carnegie Library building was
turned over to the building commis

Co., the contractors. The building is
completed, ns fur as the contractors
are concerned. Had It not been for
the unfortunate mishap to the eleva

would have turned that building over
to the owners yesterday also.

There is talk among some of the
young men of the city of organizing an
athletic club. Whether the movenjmt
will be a success or not is .a mere mat
ter of speculation, hut there, seems no
good reason why a club co.ild not be
successfully organized, if the proper
people take charge, and it is gone
about in the proper way. Those who
are now thinking of getting up a club
are anywhere between the ages of 12
and 16<

Startling But True.
People the world over were horrified
on learning of the burning of a Chica
go theatre in which nearly six hundred
people lost their lives, yet more than
five times this number, or over 3,000
people, died from pneumonia in Chi
cago during the same year, with
scarcely a passing notice. Every one
of these cases of pneumonia resulted
from a cold and could have been pre
vented by the timely use of Chamber
lain’s Cough Remedy. A great many
who had every reason to fear pneu
monia have warded it off by the
prompt use of this remedy. The fol
lowing is an instance of this sort:
“Too much cannot be said in favor of
Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy, and es
pecially for colds and influenza. T
know that it cured my daughter, Lau
ra, of a severe cold, and I believe
saved her life when she was threaten
ed with pneumonia.”. W. D. Wilcox.
