Albanians have made a number of complimentary references to the man ner lu which the Albany Business League contributed to the entertain ment of the visiting congressman yes terday. The business league was active in arranging for the proper reception and entertainment of the committee from the time it became known that the delegation would visit Albany until the party had come and gone. The active co-operation of the city council was enlisted, and the official represen tatives of the city did everything with in their power to contribute to • the success of yesterday morning’s pro gram. But all the details were left in the hands of the business league, and were looked after, almost exclusively, by the energetic secretary of that organi zation, Mr. John A. Betjeman. Many of the pleasant things The Herald has heard said have been about Mr. Betje man, who is to be congratulated upon the manner in which he discharged the important and exacting duties de volving upon him. It will probably be some time before Albany realizes any direct benefit from yesterday’s entertainment of her dis tinguished guests, but that the time will eventually come Is not to be doubted.
