A great deal of attention waa at tracted this morning by a large num ber of beautiful horses which were led through the business streets of the city. The horses were greatly ad mired by every one, and the comments upon them by those who know good horses when they see them was most favorable. Inquiry developed the fact that these were a part of a Jot of twenty fine Kentucky horses which were recently purchased by Mr. S. J. W. Livingston In Kentucky, the home of thorough breds. Mr. Livingston spent a week or two In Kentucky, visiting the fa mous horse farms, and selecting the beautiful lot of horses which has just arrived In the elty, and which he Is displaying to the ninny Albany ad mirers of horse Aesh tor the first time today. There Is not a man In this section, perhaps, who Is better able to pick a "good one" In the horse line than Mr. Livingston, whose long experience and whose natural love for and Inborn knowledge of a horse enables him to see at a glance the good and half qual ities in an animal. In selecting this bunch of horses, Mr. Livingston has been careful to se cure horses with good dispositions, though not, of cuurse, at the sacrifice of breeding and form. AH of these horses are "lady broke", kind and gen tle. The lot Includes some excellent saddle horses and a tew splendid com bination animals. Mr. Livingston Is quite emphatic in declaring that this Is the best chance Albany will have la a long time to buy fine horses.
