Don’t put off that plumbing contract until hot

• r The greatest luxury in any household during the
summer months is a well equipped bath room.
And think of the improved health of every mem
ber of the family when refuse of every description is
hurried off through underground sewers instead of re
maining on the premises to decompose and give birth to
myriads of dangerous germs.
The kitchen and the bath room demand plumbing.
v In the rest of the house it may be something of a
, luxury, but in the two apartments named it is simply
indispensable.
We are plumbers.
We guarantee our work.
We employ “Standard” fixtures.

This is a fine corner of the world
to live In In the spring time.
The beauty of this weather is

Many a man Is now digging In the

A Warning.
A young man in New York, who Is
ambitious to attain fame at- the bar,'
was conversing with a friend touch
ing the probabilities of success, when
the latter was moved to take A pessi
mistic view of the situation, says Har
per’s Weekly.
“Don’t you,” he asked, “ever des
pair of gaining a good practice at the
law?”
“I do not,” was the confident re
sponse of the youthfui disciple of
Blackstone.
“At least you will admit," weut on
the otheri “that, the profesion Is al
ready overcrowded.”
“Perhaps it is,” laughingly respond
ed the youth. “All the same, P pro
pose to graduate in law, and those
who are already In the profession will
have to take their chance.”

the year, when the old man thinks that

to be bought, and those Chautauqua

■ Have those guessing contests that
Manager/ Thomas started been for-

The eighteenth annual assembly of
the Georgia Chautauqua, will open on
the 2nd of April, which is exactly
five weeks from tomorrow.
The primary of next Thursday is a
itheme discussed on the street corners
and various other places. It will he
a good-natured but exceedingly inter
esting contest.
“This street certainly is going to be
rough' on bicyclers," said an Albanian
the other day, speaking of Washing
ton. “This tar is going to melt soon,
and is going to stick to the tires. In
fact, it will be hard on all vehicles,
and on pedestrians, until the tar wears
off, which will take some time.”
j Baseball small talk is now heard on
nearly every I street corner—and 5n
the parlors, for women are about as
fond of the national game as members
of the other sex.
The county primary will occur next
Thursday. Interest is on the increase
I as the time draws near, and it is very
probable that a large part of the reg
istered vote will be polled.
