MARRIA6E ISN'T A FAILURE
Every woman covets a
shapely, pretty figure, and
0CMB S3 S3 many of them deplore the
I loss of their girlish forms
H tit )- after marriage. The hearing
/sTiM 3S9B tOSi children is often destructive
gy dyf llVfl to Ijfhe mother’s shapeliness.
All of this can be avoided,
however, by the use of Mother’s Friend before baby comes, as this
great limfhent always prepares the body for the strain upon it, and
preserves the symmetry of her form. Mother’s Friend overcomes all the
danger of child-birth, and carries the expectant mother safely , through
this critical period without pain. It is woman’s greatest blessing.
Thousands gratefully tell of the benefit and relief derived from the
use of this wonderful __
remedy. Sold by all fRBM A B —

’'There Is a business man In this
town who is aggrieved. He doesn’t
like It because the married men In
his establishment, spend so much time
telephoning their wives to find out
how matters are at home.
The other day he was telling his
tale of woe to a friend.
"Seems to me,
with these fellows. Come to think of
It, they are good workers and trusty
employes.
“But honest, now, Isn't It Irritating,
on a ruBh day. to have to listen twen
ty times to a one-end dialogue like
this:
“Hello. This Mary? Yes, dear, it’s
Ellhu. Who else should it be?—ha,
ha, ha! Say, Mary! How are you
getting along? Dinner cooking? Well,
well, what? What was that? Here
you! Stop that cutting It! Get off
the line! Yes, Mnry. I hear you now.
Every word. Some fool broke In on
us—that was all. What, Mary. That
woman called? This early? ^he
deuce, you say. Ho, ho,ho! He, he,
he! I call that rich.
“Mary, Mary! Listen to what L say.
Does Hetty’s tooth still hurt her?
said the friend,
"that you oughtn’t to kick. It lookB
well for your force that they have
such domestic tastes and take Buch
an Interest in their wives and chil
dren. If I were employing a married
man I should think it a .good sign if
he called his wife up three or four
times a day. Really, what you’ve been

Albany is Past Becoming
a City. 1
From the Atlanta Constitution,
Cumming, Ga., March, 27. — Hoke
Smith spoke here yesterday. His
speech was along the usual line until
Colonel Wills, a leading attorney and
county school commissioner,, fired This
question at him, and then Hoke went
to pieces:
' “In the event Hon. A. O. Bacon
and Thomas E. Watson, are contest
ants for United States Senator from
Georgia, which > one would you sup
port?” - ' J
This got Hoke In a tight place, a
majority of his hearers being Watson
men. He parried the question, hut
finally said he did not believe that
{contingency would arrive, but should
it arrive, would then say what he
would do. He did not think he should
now be called on to announce tor
whom he would cast his vote, ptc.
It is not thought Mr. Smith strength
ened his cause here, he stating, It 1b
said, on the streets after the speak
ing, that he could not get up the en
thusiasm he expected.
