Numerous Pleasure Craft to be Placed on the Klnchafoonee and Muckalee. A number of Albanians are arrang ing to place launches and other pleas ure craft In the creeks Just north of the city, orders for boats of various descriptions having been placed dur ing the last few weeks. It is probable that a launch or two will be given trial trips before the end of the present week. Since the dam of the Albany Power and Manufacturing Co., at the Big Shoals, was completed, the waterB ot the creeks above that polht are In Ideal condition for pleasure boating, having risen many feet above all rocks, snags and other obstructions. There are no rapids, and the current Is so slight that a boat can be pro pelled up stream with almost as great rapidity ns It can In the other direc tion. These conditions are found for many miles up both, the Klnchafoonee and the Muckalee, and an oarsman In a light; rowboat would find boating Ideal. The slight current win not hinder light gasoline or naphtha launches, and during the coming summer Albanians will probably spend many long after noons on the two beautiful streams whose power now lights this city and turns the wheels of many of our Indus trial plants.
