Furthermore, we know very exactly the geography of this neighboring globe, and Ini this respect there, Is hard ly any more mystery for us than In Its calendar. We bare observations and detailed drawings of Its continents, Its seas, Its streams, Its Islands, Its capes, the mouths of Its great rivers and Its canals—there Is not, one might say, a single point upon' the surface of Mars which has not been the object of per petual Btudy on the part of various ob servers. . But Mars weighs not quite four times (8.91) as much as a globe of water of its di mensions. Its component substances are, then, less dense than ours.
