NEW ORLEANS COTTON LETTER,
By wire to Clark & Oo.
New York, April 6.—Being fully
committed on yarns, Manchester daily
calls liberally from the Liverpool
stock. The continent continues firm,
and with the advance here and Ltver-
pool, the Indian sales show some In
crease. The domestic goods market
maintains full prices and.demand
shows no. diminution. The local mar
ket Is firm notwithstanding rather fair
liquidation to realize most profits.
There are reports current that the
holders of May have liquidated part of
their line but this Is mere surmise
which the action of the market hardly
justifies. Each day some May con
tracts are Sold against cotton for ship
ment hither, but as yet the quantity
Is not very large, notwithstanding a
gonorul realization of the commercial
fllslluatlon. We are not likely to have
a wide speculation until more Is known
of the now crop, all reports of which,
at this time, are valueless.
