One Sam Roberson, who says he was born and raised In Lee county, this state, is in trouble over In Mississippi, and he Is anxious for his relaUves and friends to know about it The following letter to the Savan nah News tells of the serious nature of his trouble: "Hattiesburg, Miss., April 2, 190IJ.— Will you please be so kind as to put an advertisement In your paper for me? I want to find my uncle, Sam Peters. He Is somewhere in Georgia or Florida. "I am in a lot of trouble. I am to be hung in June and I want to get my people word, if there is any ohance. “I don't know just where they are at. So will you be so kind as to help me find them through your paper. Hoping you will advise me, I am In Hattiesburg jail. Yours truly, Sam Roberson. “My home is at Phllema, Ga. My mothers’ name is Pacion Roberson; I was born and raised In Lee county. Yours truly, Sam Roberson.” The man Is evidently without friends, or he would never have taken this method of attempting to locate his relatives.
