phone message today from Pavo ask
ing that the polico hero be on the
lookout for a negro, Will Miller. Mr.
T. W. Wilson, of Pavo, was shot Sat
urday afternoon and died late yester
day afternoon. Miller Is the negro
wanted for the murder. The facts In
the case are hard to ascertain, a three-
minute telephone message being all
thnt has been received here. .

Two Hundredth Anniversary of the
First American Presbytery.
Philadelphia, la., April 24— In the
First Presbyterian church In this city
today a notable celebration was held
of the 200th anniversary of the organ
ization of the first American presby
tery. The commemoration exercises
lasted all day and were attended by
prominent Presbyterians from many
sections of the country. Among the
speakers were the Rev. Drs. James D.
Moffatt and William H. Roberts, mod
erator and stated clerk, respectively,
of the general assembly, and Robert
Speer, secretary of the Board of
Foreign Missions.
