Later on the devil again attempted to lay a snare for St. Kevin, but the saint managed to get the arch fiend on holy grouud, where, of course, he was help less. While the devil was In this help less condition Kevin sawed off his legs and attached cows’ hoofs to the stumps. Since that day Satan has been cloven footed nnd will be until the end of time.
