There is no Bohemian Brewery Co., of St. Louis, but there is a little brewery over in Mo: that is evidently ashamed to put out its products under its real name. The Bohemian Brewing Company, of St. Louis, is just anothfer name little Montgomery brewery. It’s a scheme to deceive the public. Do not be deceived. The length thereof, as near ly ns • can be estimated, will be, in Georgia, about seventy-five (76) miles, and in Florida about ten (10) miles from the Florida state line to Quincy, and about seventy-two (72) miles from Quincy to Apalachicola, making an ag gregate length of railroad in Georgia and Florida of about one hundred and fifty-seven (157) miles. The general direction in which it Is to run from Albany is a -little west of south. Third. They desire that said cor poration shall continue for one hun dred and one (101) years; that it shall have a-capital stock of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000), consisting entirely of common stock, with the privilege of increasing the same from time to time as provided by law, and that its prin cipal office be located in Savannah, in Chatham County, Georgia. Fourth. Petitioners do intend in |ood faith to go forward without de lay to secure subscriptions to the cap ital stock, construct, equip, maintain and. operate said railway, and have given four (4) weeks’ notice of their intention to apply for .this charter by the publication of this petition In one of the newspapers in which Sheriff's advertisements are published in each of tile Georgia counties through which, paid railway will probably run, once a week for four weeks before the filing of this petition. FOR SELLING BEER TO A MINOR BAINBRIDGE ELKS HAD GOOD TIME / IN ALBANY, Atlanta Bartender and Porter Prose cuted In Atlanta. One of Them Says Some Nice Things About Our City and Her Ways and Some of Her Enterprises. Special, to The Herald. Atlanta, Ga., June j,—“If the courts don’t fix you, I will,” angrily exclaimed H. H., Stowers in police court yester day at the conclusion of the trial of W. P. Avary, bartender for A, O. Min- hlnnet on Decatur street, who had been arrested on a chqrge of selling beer to Mercer Stowers, minor son of H. H. Stowers. As he made the state ment, §towers shook his first in the face of the bartender. Both Avary and George Acey, a negro porter in the saloon, were bound over to the state courts by the recorder, who fixed their bonds at $100 each. They . were charged with selling liquors to a mi nor. . Ypung Stowers is 18 years of age. He testified that be had bought beer from both the bartender and the nppo porter,. Avary, pfter the y.puth testified, appeared very angry and de manded that the recorder bind the boy over on a charge of entering a saloon. To this the recorder replied that en tering a saloon was not a state of fense, but merely violation of a city ordinance. He fined young Stowers $5.75. property is sold. This 10th day of May, 1906. M. E„ which recently met at Al bany in a state convention, was ably represented by five delegates from Bainbrldge, where Elkdom Is highly venerated. They were Judge John R. Wilson, Col. W. D. Sheffield,' Fred Co hen, Dave Cohen and Prof. D. R. Pow er, assistant superintendent of tne G. S. M. C. W.'C. Dancoy, of Colquitt, was also a representative of our lodge, No. 986. The convention is said to have been one of the most pleasant held in years nnd the local Elks are well pleased with the hospitable welcome they re ceived, from 1 their brtheren at Albany, In discussing the city of Albany, one of the delegates, who Is well known for his intelligence and .progressive ness, declared that he was Impressed by the flourishing city in four different ways.
