A Macon special to the Atlanta Con
stitution of yesterday says:
The funeral of Buford M. Davis was
held at the family home, VlnevIUe ave
nue, thto afternoon at 4 o’clock and
the remains were laid to rest In River
side. Many of the friends of the de
ceased citizen were present at the fun
eral and many touching expressions of
the deep regard held for him were
evinced.
About the bier were many rich floral
designs. They came from his Individ
ual friends and from the members of
the bar association. The scene was
an Impressive one when Rev. Bohler
Walker began the funeral service. It
was only a brief one and was per
formed according to the customs of
the church.
The Macon Bar Association attend
ed in a body and accompanied the re
mains to the last resting place In Riv
erside, where they saw them deposited
In the side of the green bill. The hon
orary escort was composed of leading
members of the bar association. The
active pallbearers were Jos. H. Hall,
John P. Ross, A. L. Miller, Walter
Grace, R. F. Burden, Frank Mallary,
John M. Walker and E. N. Jelks.
