ing up the Old Federal road last
week, on account of high waters,
stopped to camp near Mr. Jesse
JackBon‘s, and some time during
the night around tho campfire an
eight-months old child was taken
sick, and in ‘those lonely quarters,
died.

gia's accomplished and fairest
daughters. Rev Simmons per
formed the sacred rites. On Tues¬
day evening Mr Steed returned,
with his bride to his eleegant home
near town, where a number of rel¬
ative^ and friends enjoyed a boun¬
tiful repast that awaited them,
which had been prepared by Mrs J
Q Steed. We extend onr hearty
congratulations to both the bride

place at 7 a. m. and Leaves Dalton
at 1 p. m. daily.
