Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State ol ’Georgia, That section 4501) of the Code ot 1873, which provides a .punishment for buying or selling, olii ring to buy or sell, or being concerned in buying or selling a vote, and for voting unlawfully at any election in this State, ho, and the same is hereby amended, so that said section will read as f >1- lo\>s: Any person who shall here- alter vote at any such election who has not resided in this State one year next proceeding such election or who lias not resided six months „next proceeding election in tlie county in which ho lias voted, or who has not paid all taxes, which, since the adoption ot the present constitution of this Stale, have been required of him previous to the year in which said elections occms, and which he has had an opportu nity of paying agi\ cable to law; or who has been convicted in any court of competent jurisdiction of treason against the State, of embez- zelmant of public funds, malprac tice in office, bribery or larceny; or any crime involving moral tur- piditv, punishable by the laws of this State with imprisonment in the penitentiary, unless such pors >n . sh. 11 have been pardoned, shall he indicted, and on eonvicti >n shall he punched i s proscribed in section 4310 of this Code, 8ec. 2.
