Eugene Franklin, his saw and grist
mill. 'I his is one of tho best nulls

other labor-saving machines which
enables Mr. Kilby to work with
great rapidity. He is a skillful
workman, and lias competent as-
sistants.
HILL—Mrs. Frances 11 ill,widow
of Birdwell llill, died at her home
in Cherokee county, Jan. 20th
1882. She was born in Pickens
Dint., 8. O, 17D7—moved to Geor
gia in 1840. She was rather an
extraordinary woman, both men-!
tally and physically. She was a
consistent member of the Baptist
church, for more than fifty years.
Died in the hope of a blessed im
mortality. Was buried at 8i.\o«,
beside her husband, aud now we
trust her spirit rostHiu the paradiso
of God. Pastor.
SUTTON—Mrs. James S. but
ton, wile of James Sutton, was
born in the State of Maryland. Dec
24tb, 1811, and died in Cherokee
county, Ga, Jan. 5th, 1882. Sho
remembered her Creator in tbo
days of her youth, giving herself
to God and the church at the ago
of sixteen. She was ever true iu
her first love. Turning the (loaf
ear to tho roar of the lion *.nd the
voice ol tho charmer, she heeded
the words of Him, who says, “I am
the way,” and indeavorad to wallr
therein. Her maiden name was
Knox--sister of Rev. Walter Knox
of precious memory. She leavvs

down life’s declivity; children aud
grand chi.dren to mourn her loss;
but along the pathway of all nio
seen tho shining loot piints of her
who walked in the light, as “He is
iu the light,” until she reached the
