A SAD AND SUDDEN DEATH
Alonzo Moss, a worthy young
man, who was born in Canton,
died suddenly, last Tuesday in At
lanta. with meningitis.
Alonzo Moss was a large-hearted,
unselfish boy. He was sober, in
dustrious Hud selfsaciificiag.
No work was too hard, where he
could help the distressed, or ac
commodate his friends.
|Ue was left an orphan, by the
death, first of a kind and good
mother, wheu a mere child. Iu a
short time an indulgent lather pass
ed from earth.
The last year, after experienc
ing a heart-change, was baptized
into the Baptist ctuirch in Bartew
county. Ilia life after this accord
ed with his prolusion.
His attack soon produoed un
consciousness. Hut ois Christian
life was unmistakuble evidence ot
Imppinees in tho “beyond.”
He leaves three dear sisters and
many other near friends to mourn
bis untimely death. How sad this
bereavement; so young aud prom
ising, and the only brother! Not
quite twenty years of age, yet call
ed to lay down his life, llo wue
buried in Canton by his father and
mother on last Thursday after re
ligious services iu the Methodist
church.
