We hat*; by committees, examine* 1

the county. We find the books of
the Hon. Ordinary neatly and coi-

books of the Clerk of the Superior

correctly and very neatly kept. Tin
Grand Jury of the August term 1882
reccotntnends the raising ol some ol
our citizens taxes, which we hiirtily
approve, as many ol our people I u!
to give in their property as high at
they ought. We have examined the
Tux collectors books hnt can’t tax
whether they are correct or not, at
he lias not collected all tin* taxes yi t.
and 1ms not hud his so tlemunt wit
the Ordinary, hut we will do him
the justice to suy, tliat his books mv

We have also t xutnined the books
of the County School (JouimissiotiM

Which still leaves in his humic $51.45
In our examination of tiie book;
ol the .Tusticeesjol the lVuc • and No
tnry Public, we find most of them
correctly Kept, hut some ol them
are very poorly kept, as they are v< ry
much blotted and blurred up, soim
ol them kept with a pencil, which
we think very wrong. W,n. J.
Christian’s book, 1ms no dates to Ins
entries, and the number ol his dis
trict is not.entered on his book. We
would very respectfully urge our
Honorable Oidinary, to have some
much needed repairs done on our
court home at once, anil we trust
that onr suggestions in this instance
will be beetled, us there bus been e. v-
eral Recommendations in this line
without action, and we would also
suggest to our Ordinary that the
woik on our new jail, both in the
rock and brick work so fir as it Ims
gone, does not come up to the spec Li
cations in our judgement. We find
the roads generally in very good con
dition so lar as we have been able to
ascertain. We reccoinmeiid our Or.
dtnuiy to employ a team or learns
with u sufficient nuuibtr ol hands to
load and unload, and put them to
hauling lock olf the hill in siout ol
