CHl.ltOKLE COUNTY 9. 8
ASSOCIATION
On Wednesday of last week the above
Association met at Itall Ground and held
their second annual meeting, t/eite a
large crowd was present and great inter
est was manifasted in the Sunday school
work of this county. The reports of the
different • Ulcers were quite encourage-
iugaiid interesting and showed a mark
ed increase all over tho county. The
Secretary reported thirty schools connec
ted with the association with a total
membership of 2.VI-1, an increase of IS
scIhioIk since the last unuuSl meeting;
'-’I of said school* were represented by
large delegations at this meeting. Tl»*
tol I in the thirty schools of this county
is about two thirds of the entire public
school population of tho county and a
l,j"' better showing than any other county lu
the State has made consequently places

The opposition I In-re once was to Sunday
school-, is lust dying out, In fact there is
so little in this county that it is hardly
known. Before another year rolls
around we hope that every community
in this county may have "a nourishing
school and c very pci sou in the neighbor
hood not only members of it hut active
workers in "turning many to lightaoHs-
nes'" that they innv “shine as stars for
ever and ever." 'I'lie gathering was so
