P reave t indications are that
Georgia will be ably repreaented in
the'naxt Congress. The repreeen-
tatfon yrill be such aa one aa any
State might be justly proud. In the
Firet District Hon. Thos. M. Nor
wood has been nominated by the
Dames rate nod will not likely have
any oppooiCiea. In the Second Dis
trict Hop. H. (3. Turner will prob-
ably be iepeminehad and returned
ae hie own eueoeesor without opposi
tion. In the Third District lion.
C. F. Ceiep he* received an endorae-
uient of hia fitness by again' being
nominated as bis own stscocasor and
will have no oppooion. In the
• Fourth District the mantle will
probably fall on lien. II. U. Harris
aa the successor of Judge lluchaiman.
In the Fifth District Hun. N.J.
Hammond has no opposition. Copt
Jackeon and Col. Hyuatt have both
retired. Tbe Republicans may get
out a oandidabe hnt it is hardly profi
table as defeat would be inevitable
for them. In the Sixth District
Hon. J. 11. Blount will no doubt be
re-elected without opposition. In
the Seventh Distriot Hon. J. C.
Clemente, the mule colt, will again
l>e returned withent opposition. In
the Eighth District Hon. Seabrou
Reese was nominated as his own
successor by acclamation and has no
opposition. In the Ninth District
Hon. A. D. Candler was nominatod
last Tuesday a* bis own successor
and if apposition has lieen thought
•f it will be useless to try and enforce
it. In thb Tenth I )istriot, tbe now one,
Hon. Geo. T. Uarnee was nominated
by acclamation and will probably
have no opposition. The present
outlook is favorable for a fine race
in eaeh diatriot and a walk over for
each of the democratic candidates.
Since putting the above in type
Republicans have signified their i -
dentfon of placing a candidate in each
Congressional District.
