n the valley, distributed amongst
about one hundred families. 'I here
are springs and branches at* almost
every door, but there is only one
well. •
There is not a brick chitnuey in
the district. The inhabitants can
have their corn ground on ten dif

supply their lumber. There are
periods mo»e tine water powers in
Gadilistown than in any other sec

The people are by no mean*
lacking in good sense, and many of
them arc educated and cultivated in
a large degree.
They have some good schools
every year; and their spiritual wants
are attended to at three chinches—
one each of Missionary and ITima-

In tht* age of bustle and hurrv, an age
devoted to great project* and enterprises,
the American people are taking tire lead
In the furtherance of noble works, and in
the advancement of the sciences and arts.
In these they deserve tv take a high rank,
and through the united works of millions,
the American continent is fast being
transformed from i!s untamed state and
being placed on an equality with the older
continenta beyond the ocean. The Amer
ican people are last, under these influences,
developing into a nervous, energetic race,
remarkable for its vim and business quali
fications; yet there is danger that iu Ibe
course of years these very e lements may
combine to the ruination of the physical
character of the people, and leave them
feeble and altogether different from their
forefathers. General debility ia now much
more common than formerly, and teems
to be on the increaso among th# masses.
Many remedies have been extensively
advertised for this wide-spread complaint,
but none of these have been so successful
or met with such general favor as the
remedy manufactured by Dr. S. B. Hart
man, and named by him Paat-N-A.
Mr. S S. Goudy, of Massillon, Stark
county, Ohio, writes : That he has l»c*n
troubled with general debility and dyspep
sia for several years; that he was induced
to try Pbruna for his complaints, and
that after using three bottles of the medi
cine he was greatly relieved. It braced
him right up and gave him energy, and
restored him to his youthful vigor. He
ascribes hit cure to Fkruna, anu says it
ia a wonderful remedy.
Adolph Uakhatis tii Co., Springfield, O.,
writes . “ We are having a good sale for
Pbruna. It tells as well as any medicine
we have, and gives the very best satisfac
tion."
Mrs. G. W. Needham. Newtonville,
Clermont Countv, Ohio, says: •* 1 have
been a great sufferer for the last six or
seven years, with general debility and
change of life. I wa* very much reduced.
I have taken four bottles of Pkritna. which
has restored me to perfect health and
strength. Wa think I'KBUNA a safe and
grand medicine."
