ATLANTA. GA.
Canton Ga., February 5th 1922.|
Whereas, on the 25th day of Jan
uary of this year, Brother W. H.
Woody a beloved member of our
Sunday School class, was called
from the labor* of this life. While 1
he was not a member ofanychurch
at the same time, those who knew
him well and had talked to him
along this line, are satisfied that he
(has searched and found the Savior,
and at the time of his death
trusting in Him for salvation. And
so far as we are concerned, we can
only hope that this is true and com
mit him to the mercy of our Lord.
We do know, from the members of
our class who so faithfully waited
and ministered at the bedside dur
ing the last few days of our
cr’s life, that he stated he was doing
his best to trust in the Lord
called upon the name of the Lord
during his last hours, and as
concluded praying n smile of ap- ]
parent satisfaction came over his
face, which seemed to say that, if
never before, there was now a con
sciousness of peace resulting from
a trustful reliance upon our Lord
Jesus Christ, therefore,
Be it resolved, that in the death
of Brother Woody, Class No. 4 has
lost a loving member, his family a
devoted father and husband and his
associates, a valued frienthhip.
Be it further resolved that Class
No. 4 extends its most heartfelt
sympathy to the bereaved and prays
the blessings of our Lord upon
them and that they many find a!
comforter and consoler on the Holy
Spirit. j
Be it further resolved that a
copy of these resolutions be sent
the family of our deceased brother;
a. copy furnished the Cherokee Ad
vance for publication and a copy
spread on the minuts of the class.
Respectfully submitted.
