younger contingent of boys and
girls to a Progressive Rook party
complimentary to her guest Miss
Jessie Howell of Ball Ground.
Mrs. John Wood most delighfully
entertained four tables of rook in
honor of Col. Wood’s birthday. The
reception room and parlor where
the tables were placed marked a
smart attraction for the evening
while at the conclusion of the game
The Rook Party given at Hotel
Canton Tuesday evening by The
Helen Plane Chapter of the U. D. C.
was pleasantly spent. The spacious
dining room was adorned with palms
and ferns which marked a smart at
traction as well as the steam heat
which was sufficient for all to be
real comfortable. Delicious ice v "
cream and cake was served to about, *

tion was collected for the. chapter,

be able to begin the work soon.
We feel that all who help in this
work will be benefited as the monu

only be made so by co-operation of
the Canton people.
After several interesting games a,a most bounteful and deliious salad
