Canton and Marietta, two fast hall teams backed by wild-eyed fans will lock horns on the Canton dir. mond Friday afternoon in the begin ning of a series of games. We presume that everyone who keeps abreast with current affairs i* fully aware of the origin of the wo«' mans’ Club, the fact thut it ha* a nation wide membership, and all of these are under one Federation, ex* cept such Clubs which are now going through a period of infancy before seeking federation, such is the case of our Club here. The first week will be devoted to civil business while the second week will he devoted exclusivelv to criminal business. Both civil nnd criminal dockets nro crowded and it is expected that two full weeks will | be put in. A number of important | criminal cases will come before the court, as there are three murder cases to be tried besides a number of other important cases. .Judge Blair will lie in charge while Solic tor Wood will look after the prose cution.
