In furtherance of Its plans, the ex '

demand for seed of these varieties j
They have enlisted the aid of the banks
and the Cotton Storage Finance Cor ^

finance the purchase of seed for their I
respective regions The Cotton Storage I
Finance Corporation offers free storage
space for accommodating the dlstrlbu 1
tion of seed from the Atlanta beadquar '
ter s.
An important part of the campaign
is to get all the farmers of a com
munlty to use only one variety of rot
ton If this ia done, the seed will re
main pure and the exchange will be in
position to market these pure seed tc
advantage next year and sultsequenl
yean, if the farmers so desire.
Farm- rs who wish to get seed of the
varieties mentioned may.take the mat
ter up with their county agent, or local
banker and arrange for a co-operativf
order of seed which the Atlanta Com
merctal exchange offers to fill withou'
cost for the service rendered.
What assurance has»the farmer thai
he will get a better price for his eottoi
if he grows the better staple?
The beet assurance is the record o
the prices received each day on tht
markets. Take the government's repor
of cotton sales in Georgia November 1
On the Atlanta market strict middlfni
of 1 to 1 1/18 inch brought 26 cents
strict middling 1 inch brought 26 J/i
cents, 7/8 to 1 inch 24 cents, 3/4 lack
22 3/4 cents.
When cotton of the shorter gradt
goes on the market la North tteorgli
it comes in contact with Chinese an«
India cotton, cotton that is raised bj
cooly labor, the lowest paid labor ii
the world.
A recent trade report showed tha
while longer staples of cotton were sell
ing at 2fi 1/2 to 26 1/2 cents, Chlnem
cotton wan selling at 18 1/2 to 22 1/!
cents and India cotton at 17 1/2 cents
Such records are the surest evidenc
that growing the longer staple pays.
