BYJAM.ES (iARDM^It. (General Abuertisements. FORMAN'S IRON PLOW S^OCK. fWHIE undersigned having , * purchased the patent right C^^fejff*****^ lur PLOW STOCK for the counties of Kicfunona Columbia, Lincoln, Burke, Jefferson, Washington’ Scriven and Emanuel, are prepared to furnish it to Planters at the Manufacturer’s price. This stock which is made entirely of wrought iron, is a South ern invention ; and has 1 >eu sufficiently tested by the most practical and successful planters in the country, as numerous certificates in our possession i will show, to prove that, when provided with suita ble shares, it runs more steadily, breaks and pul verize* the soil more thoroughly, clogs less in rough land, is more easily adjusted for deep or shallow plowing, holds the shares more firmly, lasts incom parably longer, and ri, in the end, far cheaper than any other stock now in use. In tiie November number of the Southern Culti vator, p. Slo, the editor of that work, says: “After I giving this Plow a fait and impartial trial, we can , truly say that we regard it as a most valuable iin- i provement on all common wooden implements of the kind now in use. For general efficiency and j convenience, as well as special adaptation to deep j tillage or subsoiling, we know of nothing that stir- j passes it; while on the score of economy and durar i ndity, it is altogether unrivalled. No Plow with ! which we are acquainted is so well calculated to J resist the careles- and destructive usage of planta- ; tion negroes, and we doubt not that its general in- ! troduction would be of very great pecuniary benefit, i to the planting interests of the South. Such is the ! opinion of the editor of the Cultivator, and such is ! the opinion of all who, like him, have given the i plow a fair and impartial trial. This stock is j adapted to .-ix different points or shares, including ! every variety which a planter will need from the 1 * beginning to the end of the year. These shares j will be furnished with the stock when desired, i though any plantation South can make them after once seeing them. The stock is the only part of | the plow patented. Circulars, containing certificates, and a more ; minute description of the Plow, mav be obtained j by application. Rights for counties, shops or plantations, will be i s.dd on reasonable terms.
