Office or the Fashion Line, ) Augusta, April 15, 1854. f TIIE subscriber would respectfully cal! the aattention of the Merchants throughout Geor gia, Tennessee, Alabama, and South Carolina, to the Savannah River, as a safe, expeditious and cheap route for the transportation of their Merchan dise. Bv comparing the freight tarifis of this line with those of the South Carolina, and Central, and Waynesboro' Railroads, it will show a result iu fa vor of this route of from 30 to 50 per cent., gener ally, and in some instances a greater per tentage. By this route a merchant receives each shipment of his Goods together; they are not retailed by him as thet' generally are by Railroads connecting with the seaboard, with a list of charges attached to each package. Iu addition to the present force of this lino, an other now Boat, of light draught of water, will be added during the coming summer. These boats will leave Savannah after the discharge of the New York aud Philadelphia Steamships, twice or three imes a week, delivering those Goods at this point in FIVE DAYS. From tnb present low lariff of this Line a deduc tion of 121a) per cent, will be allowed on all bills from this date. Give the river more business, and a cheaper freight yet awaits you. All goods from the seaboard should be directed to M. A. COHEN, Savannah, and produce from the interior to JNO. A. MOORE,, Augusta. To the manufacturing portion of Georgia, as well as to the Cotton Merchants, and dealers generally, on the line of Railroads through Georgia and Ten nessee, who ship to Savannah and Northern mar kets, this route otters very favorable inducements. To fseilita e shipments, as well a9 to prevent er rors, bills of lading should be forwarded to M. A. COHEN, at Savannah, forall goods from seaboard. JNO. A. MOORE. The exceeding simplicity of this Engine, renders it much more durable and easily managed than any other, and when placed upon the boiler with wheels it is portable though effective. This preparation is getting into use all over the country. The numerous letters we receive from * our various agents, informing us of cures effected in their immediate neighborhoods, warrant us in : saying it is one of the best, if not the very best Cough Medicine now before the public. It almost | invariably relieves and not uufrequentiy cures the ; very worst case. When all other Cough prepare- i tions have failed, this has relieved the patient, as Druggists, dealers in Medicines, and Physicians can testify. Ask the Agent in your nearest town, j what has been his experience of the effects of this j medicine. If he has been selling it for anv length . of time, he will tell you it is the best Mediciue ox- ; taut. Below we give a few extracts from letters we have received lately regarding the virtues of this Medicine: Dr. 6. S. Oslin, of Knoxville, Ga., says: I have been using your liverwort and Tar very extensive- j ly in my practice for three years past, and it is with pleasure I state mv belief in its superiority over all other articles with which I am acquainted, for which it is recommended. Messrs. Fitzgerald A Benners, writing from Waynes ville, NT C., say: “ The Liverwort and Tar j is becoming daily more popular in this country, and we thiuk justly so. All who have tried it speak in commendable terms of it, and say it is very beneficial in alleviating the complaints for which it is recommended.” Our Ageut in Pickens District, S. C., Mr. S. R. Me Fall, assures us “that he uses it with great ben- ! slit in his own family, and recommends it to his neighbors.” He gives sn instance of a Negro wo- | man, in his vicinity, who had been suffering with disease of the Lungs for years, attended with sc- - vere cough, who was relieved by the Liverwort & Tar. Such are the good reports we hear of this Metli- \ cine from all parts of the South. For a report of ; the suqirisiug ciu-es it has performed in the West- ‘ ern, and Northern and Eastern States, we would in- 1 vite the suffering patient to read the pamphlet ! which accompanies each bottle. To all, we say, ' hare hope, have hope! Try the Medicine! Be warned in season! And neglect not that cough which is daily weakening 1 your constitution, irritating your throat and lungs, ! and inviting on that dread disease, Consumption, ! when so soothing and healing a remedy can be <>b- j tained as Dr. Rogers’ Syrup of Liverwort and Tar. j Beware of Counterfeits and base imitations!
