Office of the Fashion Line, I Augusta, April 15, 1854. \ rHAfIIO subscriber would respectfully call the fcs aattention of the Merchants throughout Goor • is, Tennessee, Alabama, and South Carolina, to the Savannah River, as a safe, expeditious and cheap route for the transportation of their Merchan dise. By comparing the freight tariffs of this Into with those of the South Carolina, and Central, and Waynesboro’ Railroads, it will show a result in fa vor of this route of from Go to 50 percent., gener ally, and in some instances a greater per centage. Bv this route a merchant receives each shipment of bis Goods together; they are not retailed by him as they generally are by Railroads connecting with the seaboard, with a list of charges attached to oach package. In addition to the present force of this line, an other new Boat, of light draught of water, will be added during the cotniug summer. These boats will leave Savannah after the discharge of the New York aud Philadelphia Steamships, twice or throe times a week, delivering those Goods at this point in FIVE DAYS. From the present low tariff of this liae a deduc tion of 12jA per eeut. will be allowed on all bills from this date. Give the river more business, and a cheaper freight yet awaits you. All goods from the seaboard should be directed to M. A. COHEN, Savannah, and produce from the interior to JNO. .A. MOORE,, Augusta. To the manufacturing portion of Georgia, as well as to the Cotton Merchants, and dealers generally, on the line of Railroads through Georgia and Teu ness-.-e, who ship to Savannah and Northern mar kets, this route offers very favorable inducements. To f.u ilita e shipments, as well as to prevent er rors, biiisof lading should be forwarded to M. A. COHEN, at Savannah, for all goods from seaboard. * J NO. A. MOORE. This preparation is getting into use all over the country. The numerous letters we receive from I our various agents, informing us of cures effected in their immediate neighborhoods, warrant us in : saying is is one of the best, if not the very best Cough Medicine- now before the public. It almost invariably relieves and not unfrequentlv cures the very worst case. When all other Cough prepara tions have failed, this has relieved the patient, as Druggists, dealers in Medicines, and Physicians can testify. Ask the Agent in your nearest town, what has been his experience of the effects of this medicine. If he has been selling it for anv length | of time, he will tell you it. is the liest Medicine ex | taut. Below we give a few extracts from letters we have received lately regarding the virtues of this Medicine: Dr. S. S. Oslin, of Knoxville, Ga,. says: I have . been using your Liverwort and Tar very extensive ly in mv practice for three years past, and it is with | pleasure 1 state my belief in its superiority over all other articles with which 1 am acquainted, for which it is recommended. Mo. , s Fitzgerald & Benners, writing from : Wayuesville, N. C., say: “The Liverwort and Tar is becoming daily more popular in this country, ; and we think justly so. All who have tried it I speak in commendable terms of it, and say it is I very beneficial in alleviating the complaints for ' which it is recommended.'’ Our Agent in Pickens District, S. C., Mr. S. R. McFall, assures us “ that he uses it with great ben elit in his own family, and recommends it to his neighbors.” He gives an instance of a Negro wo man, in his vicinity, who had been suffering with j disease of the Lungs for years, attended with se vere cough, who was relieved by the Liverwort A : Tar. Such are the good reports wc hear of this Medi i cine from all parts of the South. For a report of the surprising cures it has performed in the West ern, aud Northern and Eastern States, we would in j vite the suffering patient to read the pamphlet which accompanies each bottle. To all, ive say, ; have hope, have hope! Tty the Medicine! Be warned in season! And neglect not that cough which is daily weakening your constitution, irritating your throat and lungs, and inviting on that dread disease, Consumption, when so soothing and healing a remedy can be ob tained as Dr. Rogers’ Syrup of Liverwort and Tar.
