Opposition to Jlijh Freight Tariff*.’ Office of the Fashiox Line, / Aucii sta, April 15, 1854. f lIIIIE subscriber would respectfully call the 1l aattention of the Merchants throughout Geor gia, Tennessee, Alabama, and South Carolina, to the Savannah River, as a safe, expeditious and cheap route for the transportation of their Merchan dise. By comparing the freight tariil's of this line with those of the South Carolina, and Central, and Waynesboro’ Railroads, it will show a result in fa vor of this route of front 3o to .10 percent., gener ally, and in some instances a greater per rentage. By this route a merchant receives each shipment of his Goods together; they are not retailed by him a.-, they generally are by Railroads connecting with the seaboard, with a list of charges attached to each package. In addition to the present force of .this line, an other new Boat, of light draught of water, will be added during the coming summer. These boats will leave Savannah after the discharge of the New York and Philadelphia Steamships, twice or three times a week, delivering those Goods at this point in FIVE DAYS. From the present low tariff of this liae a deduc tion of I'2}4 per cent, will be allowed on all bills from this date. Give the river more business, and a cheaper freight vet awaits you. All goods from the seaboard should he directed to M. A. COHEN. Savannah, and produce from the interior to JXO. A. MOORE,, Augusta. To the manufacturing portion of Georgia, as well as to the Cotton Merchants, and dealers generally, on the line of Railroads through Georgia and Ten nessee, who ship to Savannah and Northern mar kets, tins route offers very favorable inducements. To facilitate shipments, as well as to prevent er rors, bills of lading should be forwarded to M. A. COIIEN, at Savannah, forall goods from seaboard JXO. A. MOORE. In case of low river, all goods consigned to this line, will be forwarded by Central, and connecting Railroads. aprill 5 ’ SUPERINTENDENT'S OFFICE, Georgia Railroad, [ Augusta, September 10, ]A>5, ) ON and after 20th September, the charges on Grain and Flour, on Georgia anti ,South Caro lina Railroads, will be as follow >: Atlanta to Augusta. HOW DISEASED ACTION BECOMES ESTABLISHED AND THE BLOOD IMPURE. A great erroi has long prevailed in the minds of ined • ical men, <• That Impu: ity of the Blood is the Cause of Diseased Action .'' Thi is a serious mistake. It is a disturbance of the circulation and the establishment of i diseased action, that causes impurity of the blood. The R. It It. theory holds the truth of the above max im., for if a person be in a state of perfect health, each ! artery and vein must carry to and from the heart its i allotted proportion of b.ood. and when any set of ves | sels refuse ,be the cause what it may) to carry their i proportion, the current of blood becomes dammed up— i in other words, a congestion takes place, giving pain to i a greater or less extent Here, then, is the beginning ! of diseased action, which, if not relieved, will soon run j into inflammation, and the disease becomes established. ! Diseased action being once established, the blood be comes impure, and the regularity of action on the part of the Liver. Ski . Bowels. A-e . is sure to he interru t ed and the general system, by sympathising with the local complaint, becomes involved in the difficulty. That this is the true state of the case, let any one call to mir d his symptoms on catching cold. The local difficulty may be a sore throat, which is a congestion of the blood, ! amounting (sometimes) to an inflammation about the j throat, owing to a previous deranged state of the cir j cuiation, and he will remember that his bowels become costive, iiia liverderanired. or his skin dry. and his blood impure Had lie used Radivay's Ready Relief when the congestion was setting in.as an application to the throat, amiss allowed a dose of the Regulators, he would have broken up the congestion, and restored the regularity on the part of the liver, skin, bowels. Ac. which bad i bean broken in upon by the effects of the sore throat. Regular ty being again established, the impure blood is soon purified, and the circulation again equalized, and the health restored. ; HOW THE R. R. R. REMEDIES RAISED MRS.
