By tliis route a merchant receives etc shipment
of his Goods together; they are not : ailed bv
hint as they generally are by Railroads connecting
with the seaboard, with a list of charges attached
to each package.
In addition to the present force of this line, an

added during the coming summer. These boats
will leave Savannah after the discharge of the New
York and Philadelphia Steamships, twice or three
times a week, delivering those Goods at this point
in FIVE DAYS.
From the present low tariff of this line a deduc
tion of 12k' per cent, will be allowed on all bills
from this date. Give the liver more business, and
a cheaper freight yet! awaits you.

REED’S PATENT CHRONOMETER
ENGINE.
This is an improved Steam Engine, for which
Letters Patent were granted to John A. Heed,
of New York, January 9,1855. The nature of this
Improvement consists of the increase of power j
about 2" per cent, and reducing the weight of the
Engine one-half. The saving of fuel is effected by
letting the steam in on botli sides of the cylinder;
doubling the size of the port, and balancing the
pressure, removing the friction and weight of the ;
slide valves, eccentrics, cross heads, connecting j
rods, Ac. The exceeding simplicity of this Engine,
renders it much more durable and easily managed
than any other, and when placed upon the boiler
with wheels it is portable though effective.
These Engines received the First Prize Medal at I
the great Exhibition in Paris. There are about :
Seventy-five of them now in operation, all giving
great satisfaction.

SARSAPARILLA.
IS now put up in the largest sized bottles, and is
acknowledged to be the best Sarsaparilla made,
as is certified by the wonderful cures it has per
formed, the original copies of which are in the pos- j
session of the proprietor. Remember, this is the
only true and original article.
Scrofula, Syphilis, Mercurial Complaints, Cancer,
Gangrene, Rheumatism, and a rast variety of other
diseases are speedily and perfectly cured by the use j
of this medicine.
Read the following Certificate :
Tallapoosa Co., Ala., Jan. 2, 1355.
Dear Sir—l send you this to certify to you that '
your Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla has
performed one of the most wonderful cures on me
that has ever been effected on man.
I have been afflicted for forty yearspvith erup
tions on my legs and feet; in 1348 they got so bad
that T had to go on crutches, and in 1849 I had one ;
leg amputated above the knee. In about nine ;
months after my other leg broke out in largo eating I
and running sores, from rnv knee to my foot, and
discharged a great deal of offensive matter. My
groin also broke out in large biles, which discharg
ed much offensive matter, and at the same time my
left hand broke out in large running sores nearly
to my elbow.
The misery that I have suffered for the last two
years, I cannot describe to you. I was in such ag
onv that T never rested day or night.
In October last, my son brought me one of your
bottle wrappers; I read it, a id found record of some
wonderful cures performed by vour “Extract of
Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla;” 1 sent and got two
bottles of it, and commenced taking it. In two
weeks, to my great astonishment, my sores all be
came easy, and 1 could sleep all night, a thing I had
not done for two years. When i had taken six bot
tles. my sores had nearly all healed. My sore got
well as if by enchantment. I have now used in all
eight bottles of your “ Extract of Yellow Dock and
Sarsaparilla,” and I now consider mysel well.
I entreat all of the afflicted to try iliis medicine,
for 1 believe it will cure any known disease in the
world. Lay aside all prejudice and just try it, and
proclaim its great worth to suffering mankind, and
entreat them to take it, for it will cure them.
M v case is well known in a large portion of Sontli
Carolina, Georgia and Alabama, and if any should
doubt the above cure, I invite them to call on me,
and I will show them the scars. I can be found in
Tallepoosa county, Ala.,one mile front Stoe’s Ferry
BENAJAH HUGHES.
The Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla is peculiarly
adapted for females of delicate health, resulting
from irregularity of menstrual discharges, and oth
er diseases peculiar to their sex. The proprietor
has in his possession it great number of certificates
of cures performed, of the above description. We
assure the afflicted, that it bottle or two of Dr. Guy
sott's Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla will
at once regulate those difficulties, aud.renew the
natural energies.
