71HIE subscriber would respectfully call the
BL aattentiou of the Merchants throughout Geor
gia, Tennessee, Alabama, aud South Carolina, to
. the Savannah River, as a safe, expeditious and
' cheap route for the transportation of their Merchan
; dise.
By comparing the freight tariffs of this lino with
' those of the South Carolina, and Central, and
Waynesboro’ Railroads, it will show a result iu fu
j vor of this route of from 30 to 50 per cent., gener
j ally, and iu some instances a greater per centage.
By this mute a merchant receives each shipment
! of his Goods together; they are not retailed bv
! hint as they generally are by Railroads connecting
i with the seaboard, villi a lis; of charges attached
to each package.
Iu addition to the present force of this hue, an- !
other new Boat, of light draught of water, will In
added during the coming suxixmer. These boats
will leave Savannah after the discharge of the New
: York and Philadelphia Steamships, twice or three
1 times a week, delivering those Goods ui -his point
in FIVE DAYS.
From the present low tariff of this line a deduc
j tionof 12’d per cent, will be allowed on all bills
| from this (late. Give the river more business, and
a cheaper freight vet awaits you.
All goods from the seaboard should be directed j
j to M. A. COHEN, Savannah,
and produce from the interior to
JNO. A. MOORE,, Augusta.
To the manufacturing portion of Georgia, as well
as to the Cotton Merchants, and dealers generally,
on the line of Railroads through Georgia and Teu

To facilitate shipments, as well as to prevent er
rors, bills of lading should be forwarded to M. A.

AYER’S CATHARTIC PILLS
OPERATE by their powerful dSjjgy
influence on the internal & MjgMS
viscera to purify the blood and J
! stimulate it into healthy action.
They remove the obstructions of y
I the stomach, bowels, liver, and |
| other organs of the body, and, jEJf
1 by restoring their irregular ac
tion to health, correct, wherev
| er they exist, such derangements BBmmmmmmmmemem j
! as are the first causes of disease. An extensive trial of j
! their virtues, by Professors, Physicians and Patients, .
has shown cures of dangerous diseases almost beyond j
! belief, were they not substantiated by persons of such ■
i exalted position and character as to forbid th» suspicion
j of untruth. Their certificates are published in mv j
American Almanac which the Agents below named are
pleased to furnish free to all inquiring.
Annexed we give Directions for their use in the com- j
1 plaints which they have been found to cure. i
For Costitksess—Take one or two Pills, or such
j quantity as to gently move the bowels. Costiveness is ■
; frequently the aggravatingcanse of Piles, and the cure
1 of one complaint i-the cure of both. No person can
1 feel well while under a costive habit of body. Hence 1
it should be, as it can be. promptly relieved. !
For Dyspepsia, which is sometimes the cause of t os
tiveness. and aiwavs uncomfortable, take mild doses
from one to four—to stimulate the stomach and liver 1
into healthy action. They will do it, and the heartburn,
bodvburn and toulburn of dyspepsia will vapidly disap
pear. When it has gone, don't forget what cured you.
For a Foci. Stomach, or Morbid Inaction of the
Bowels, which produces general depression of the spir
its and bad health, take from four to eight Pills at farst,
and smaller doses afterwards, until activity and .strength
i is restored to the system. .
For Nervousness. Sick Headache, Nausea,
j in the Stomach. Back , or Side, take from tour to eight
I Pills on going to bed. If they do not, operate sufficient*
■ ly, take more the next day until they do. These com
-1 plaints will be swept out from the system. Pon t wear
! these and their kindred disorders because your stomach
! is foul. , ,
For Scrofula, Erysipelas, and all Diseases oj the.
' Skin , take the Pills freely and frequently, to keep the
| bowels open. The eruptions will generally soon begin
! to diminish and disappear. Many dreadful ulcers a r d
I sores have been healed up by the purging aud purifying
! effect of these Pills, and some disgusting diseases which
seemed to saturate the whole system, have completely
j yielded to their influence, leaving the sufferer in perfect
I health. Patients! your duty to society forbids that you j
! should parade yourself around the world covered w ith
j pimples, hlotclies, ulcers, sores, and ail or any ot the
! unclean diseases of the skin, became your system wants j
j cleansmg.
: To Purify the Blood, they are the best medicine i
1 ever discovered. They should ho taken treely aud fre
quently, and the impurities which sow the seeds ot in- ;
curable diseases, will be . wept out of the system like
chaff before the wind. By this property they do as mueh
good in preventing sickness as by the remark**! • cures 1
which thev are making everywh?ie.
Liver Coaplaint, JiUNDirF, and all Bilious Affee- 1
, tions arise from some derangement—either torpidity,
j congestion, or obstructions of the Liver. Torpidity and ,
congestion vitiate the biie and render it unfit for dige - ;
tion. This is disastrous to the health, and the con ti- ;
J tution is frequently nnd -rmined by no other cause In- j
; digestion 1 the symptom. Obstruction of the duet ;
i which emptiesth > bile into the stomach causes the bile
; to overflow into the blood. Tide produces Jaundice,
1 with * long and dangerous train of evil. . Costiveness,
■ or alternately costtveness amt diarrhoea, prevails. Fe- 1
1 verish symptoms, languor, low spirits, weariness, rest
j le-.-ne- . and melancholy, with sometime? inability to
i sleep, and sometime; great drowsiness; sometimes there
is severe pain in the side : the skin and the white of the
eye, become ii greenish yellow; the stomach ao:d ; the
bowels sore to the touch ; the whole system irritab e, ,
with a, tendency to fever, which may turn to bilious fe
ver, bilious colic, bilious diarrhoea, dysentery, &c. A ,
medium do-e of three or ion- Pills taken at night, fol
lowed by two or three in the morning, and repeated a
few daw. will remove the rau-e of ail these troubles.
It is wicked to suffer such pains when you can cure ;
i them for 25 cents.
Rheumatism. Oort, and all Inflammatory Fevers j
| are rapidly cured by the purifying effects of these Pillfi 1
upon the blood aud trie stimulus which they afford to
, the vital principle of Life. F-r these and ail kindled ;
! complaints, they should be taken in mild do es, to move
; the bowels gently, but freely.

HOW DISEASED ACTION BECOMES ESTABLISH!;,
AND THE BLOOD IMPURE.
A great error has long prevailed in the minds of oM
ieal men, *• That Impurity of the Blood is the Cans? of
! Diseased Action." This is a serious mistake it j,','
di-tuibauce of the circulation, and the estabiishaea- o
I diseased action, that causes impurity of the blood.
The It It. R. theory holds the truth of the abr.r» ecsx
l ims, for if a person he in a state of perfect health, ea-„
artery and vein must carry to and from the heart it»
: allotted proportion of blood, and when any set of
i sels refuse ,be the cause what it may) to carry their
1 proportion, the current of blood becomes dammed up—
iu other words, a congestion takes place, airing p&in
: a greater or less extent. Here, then, is the begiuiir,.
i of diseased action, which, if not relieved, will soon run
! into inflammation, and the disease becomes establish*,:
i Diseased action being once established, the blood bs
j comes impure, and the regularity of action on the par,
! of the Liver. Skin, Rowels, Ac., is sure to b* interruu*
t ed. and the general system, by sympathriing with tr;
- local complaint, becomes involved in the difficulty. Thai
this is th? true state of the case, let any one rail to chi
! his symptoms on catching cold. The local difficulty rail
be a sore throat, which is a congestion of the blood
amounting (sometime*) to an inflammation about ;r
--throat, owing to a previous deranged state of thecir
dilation, and he will remember that his bowels b?.’r,a- :
costive, his liver deranged, or his skin dry, and his blood
impure. Had he used Radway’s Ready Relief wheutb;
i congestion was setting in.as an application to the throat
! and swallowed a dose of the Regulators, he would rm,
broken up the congestion, and restored the reguia:i‘r
on the part of tlio liver, skin, bowels, &r., which bud
; been broken in upon by the effects of the sore th-.i.
Regularity being again established, the impure blood:;
| soon purified, aud the circulation agaiu equulirea, uti
; the health restored.
