GRANGERS’ MAGIC CORN AND COE AND MEAL MILL, Patented September 18, 1853. Guardey, Whyte d- Co., Sole Agenis, Augusta, Ga. BJI PRESSED with the entire superiority of this celebrated Mill, over all others for like purposes, we feel justified in presenting it to the public, as being all that can he consistently de sired. Possessed of all the advantages which are so palpably secured by the iuner cone instead of the outer, being a fixture, while the outer cone, (or shell) revolves; of being regulated in its feed bv a single nut; of utter simplicity and accurate con struction, these Mills present yet another, and a imst intn’liable feature, to which public attention i- ■s[,n ,aUy invited—and which vve believe renders it totally superior to any Mill extant—to-wit: the ! rollers, (which are adjustable, and the principle j claim under the Patent (employed on tlie periphery ! of the revolving or outer cone, at its base. These rollers t interdicted in other machines) j when once adjusted serve to keep the cones, under ! aH circumstances, equi distant on every side (no matter how often the-change of feed ), and utterly prevent the oscilating, or rocking motion other wise incident to the revolving cone, and insepara ble from the moving cones of other Mills. As among the incalculable advantages of this j arrangement, we suggest that there can be no ! j crowding of the feed on any one side of the Mill ] j more than another, which in other Mills often i j hi lugs in actual contact the sides of the Mill oppo- | j site to that excessively crowded, while it unmests- j | ui ably increases the resistance to the moving- | i power. Again, while the yield is of more uniform ; consistency, the cones may be brought almost to : gether, without danger of actual contact when in operation i the result oftentimes of the rocking, ; or vibratory motion in other Mills,) as the rollers serve to preserve, under all circumstances, the re lative distance of the cones from each other. Tims the very finest material may be ground without the danger of actual contact between the cones ; without the wear and tear incident to this contact; j and without the increased and irregular resistance i caused by this contact advantages which every i tvdecting mind will agree, cannot be over estima j tod, and which stamp this Mill ineomparahh/ tin l » ■/ known : Specimens of the grinding of this | Mill may be seen, of meal, shelled oats and rye, which cannot be surpassed by the best Burr Stones. A a recent public experiment, a single horse ground at the rate of fifteen bushels ot ma terial from shelled corn, to the hour, of which more than one-fourth was meal, passed through a No. Is sieve—the balance hominy and stock feed in equal parts. A small ponv worked with uti s)4 foot lever, a No. 2 Mill, grinding eight to ten bushels to the hour, without difficulty. The corn and cob ground together, exhibited beautiful specimens of stock feed, which every true econo mist should employ, even where there are but i three or four animals to supply. The capacity of 'be Magic depends, in a measure. ! on the kind and on the quality of the material i ground. No. 1, (designed more especially for family use, j or very small farms,) will grind from three to live J bushels per hour. No. 2, from live to ten bushels. No. 3, from ten to fifteen bushels. I’he public, (within the territory of the under signed,) will be supplied through Agents, at the ; diil'erent principal towns within our limits, at the ! following uniform scale of prices: For No. 1 £45 Os) For No. 2 55 00 j For No. 3 65 oO i Farties desiring to secure Agencies in the conn- j tics of Burke, Washington, Columbia and Lincoln, ! will, on application, he promptly furnished with ! our circular, giving terms, Ac. We take pleasure in informing our friends and the public generally, that we have been appointed Sole Agents for the sale of the above celebrated i Mills. Orders will be tilled promptly. No Farmer | or Stock owner ought to be without one. Our | supply of samples will be here in a few days. I’H'Hl E undersigned lias invented and patented B a most valuable improvement in the PLOW STOCK the county rights for which he desires to sell, lie prefers to let others speak its praise, and therefore introduces the following certificates, from two planters, well and favorably known in the community in which they reside. He might in troduce many others, but the Plow Stock will speak for itself whenever examined. JAMES B. MELL. Riceboro’, Liberty county, Ga. This is to certify that 1 have, with my own bands, thoroughly tested the newly invented Plow Stock of James It. Moll, Esq. In point of simplicity and perfection, I have never seen or used its equal. In ii is combined every thing that 1 could wish in a Plow Stock, and it, in my opinion, is tire cheapest and the best that lias ever been offered to the pub lic. I speak from having used it with my own hands. I was raised to follow the plow, and think that I know how one ought to run. I would cheer fully thank any one, who will thoroughly try it, to point out to me one single fault in it. It is easier upon the horse and the plowman than any that I have ever used. The principle upon which you regulate the depth of the Plow is so simple, and yet so perfect, as to commend itself to any one; and the Stock is adapt ed to any kind of Plow Hoe. It is, moreover, just as light as anv could desire it to be. 1 would re commend to any and all, if they wish the best and cheapest Plow Slock, without hesitation to get Mr. James B. Moll’s. J). VV. Wilson’. ; Penlield, Ga., April 15, 1856. In company with several others, I, this day, wit nessed the trial of Mr. James B. Midi’s Plow Stock, by Mr. 1). VV. Wilson, and cheerfully state that all present were fully satisfied that it does everything as stated above. 1 would, moreover, state that 1 have been using them on mv farm for several months, and every day serves to confirm me in (he opinion of the superiority of Mr. Moll's Plow Stock to all others now in use.
