AYER’S CATHARTIC PILLS OPERATE by their powerful influence on the internal viscera to purify the Wood and J te'SSgJf'K stimulate it into healthy action. f They remove the obstructions of y the stomach, bowels, liver, and e'r they exist such derangements fSk—Bwwi* ■■■"— as are the QrM causes of disease. An extensive trial of their virtues, by Professors, Physicians and Patients, has shown cures of dangerous diseases almost beyond belief, were they not substantiated by persons of such exalted position and character as to forbid the suspicion of untruth. Their certificates are published iu my American Almanac, which the Agents below named arc pleased to furuidi free to all inquiring. Annexed we give Directions for their use in the com plaints which they have been found to cure. For CoSTIVENESS —Take one or two Pills, or such , quantity as to gently move the bowels. Costivtness is frequently the aggravating cause of PtLES ; and thecure of one complaint is the cure of both. No person can feel well while under a costive habit of body. Hence it should be. as it can l>e, promptly relieved. Fob Dyspepsia, which is sometimes the cause of l os tiveness, ar.d always uncomfortable, take mild doses— from oue to four-to stimulate the stomach and liver , into healthy action. They will do it, and the heartburn, bodubitrn and sovlbvrn of dyspepsia will rapidly disap pear. When it has gone, don't forget what cured you. For a Foul STOMACa, or Morbid Inaction or the Bowels, which produces general depression of the spir its and bad health, take from four to eight Fills at hrst, and smaller doses afterwards, until activity and strength ; is restored to the system. . Fo« Nkbvoi sness. Pick Headache, Nausea, P"in i in the Stomach, Bark , or Side, take from four to eight 1 Pills on going to hod. If they do not operate sufficient j : iy, take more the next day until they do. These com plaints will be swept out from the system. Don t wear ; I these and their kindred disorders because your stomach i is foul. . , Fop. Scrofcla. Ep.vsipklAS. and all Diseases of the Skin, take the Pills freely and frequently, to keep the ! bowels open. The eruptions will generally soon begin i to diminish and disappear. Many dreadful ulcers a'd sores have been healed up by tlie purging and purifying ; effect of these Pills, and some disgusting diseases which seemed to saturate the whole system, have completely | yielded to their influence, leaving the sufferer iu perfect ! health. Patients! your duty to society forbids that you ■ should parade yourself around the world covered with ! pimple: , blotches, ulcers, sores, and alt or any ot the j unclean diseases of the skin, because your system wants , j cleaus'iig. ... . ; | To Purify the Blood, they arc the best nicdicin3 j ever discovered- They should be taken freely and. fre quently, aud the impurities which sow 11 it? seeds of in curablo diseases will bo swept out of the system like chaff before the wind. By this property they do us much good in preventing sickness as hv the remarkable cures which they are making every where. Livkk Complaint. Jaundice, mil ail Bnious Afffc tions arise from some derangement —either torpidity, I congestion, or obstructions of the Diver. Torpidity and | i congestion vitiate the bile avd render it unfit tor diges- j tion. This is disastrous to the health, and the consti i tution is frequently undcriaiuetl by no other cause. In i digestion is the symptom. Obstruction ot the duct ; w hich empties the bile into the stomach causes the bile :to overflow into the blood. This produces Jaundice. , with a long and dangerous train of evils. Costiveness, j ! or alternately co.-tiveness and diarrhoea, prevails, te* 1 verish symptoms, languor, low spirits, weariness. 1 e>t -1 lessness and melancholy, with sometimes inability to sleep, and sometimes great drowsiness; sometimes there : is severe pain in the side; the skin and the white ot the l eyes become a greenish yellow ; the stomach acul, the I bowels sore to the touch; the whole system irrifr.be, : with a tendency to fever, which may turn to bilious te i ver, bilious colic, bilious diarrhoea, dysentery, Ac. A , medium dose of three or four Pills taken at night, fol lowed by two or three in the morning, and repeated a j few days, will remove the cause of all these troul.V it i wicked to suffer such pains when you can cure ; them for 25 cents. RhfcmaTlSM, Govt. a,i I ad Inflammatory bn,is are rapidly cured by the purifying effects of these Pills ; upon the blood and the stimulus which they afford to : the vital principle of File 1 r these and all kindred complaints, they should be taken in mild doses, to move i the bowels gentlv, but freely. As a Dinner Pii.i., this is both agreeable and useful. HOW DISEASED ACTION BECOMES ESTABLISHED AND THE BLOOD IMPURE. A great error lias long prevailed in the minds of tin • ical men, That Impurity of the Blood is the Cause «. I Diseased Action.” This is a serious mistake. It i ! disturbance of the circulation, and the establishment 1 diseased action, that causes impurity of the blood. The R. R. It. theory holds the truth of the above max ims, for if a person be in a state of perfect health, each artery and vein must carry to and from the heart it allotted proportion of blood, and when any set oi vc> sells refuse the cause tv hat it may) to carry thei: proportion, the current of blood becomes dammed up - 1 in other words, a congestion takes place, giving pain to ; a greater or less extent. Here, then, is the beginning | of diseased action, which, if not relieved, will soon run ’ into inflammation, and the disease becomes established. ! Diseased action being once established, the blood ! ; comes impure, and the regularity of action on the pai t of the Liver, Ski r., Bowels. & c , is sure to be interruf j ed. and the general system, by uvrapathising with the local complaint, becomes involved in the difficulty. That ! this is the true state of the case, let any one call to mir,d 1 his symptoms on catching cold. The local difficulty n | be a sore throat, which is a congestion of the blood. * amounting (sometimes) to an inflammation about tbr* throat, owing to a previous deranged state of the i . ; dilation, and lie will remember that his bowel bfvci:;* j costive, his liver deranged, or Bis skin dry. and h: M , impure Had lie used Kadway s.
