I HI’KLSSEI) with the entire superiority of . this celebrated Mill, over all others for like purposes, we feel justified in presenting it to the public, as being all that can he consistently de sired. Possessed of all the advantages winch arc so palpably secured by the inner cone instead of the outer, being a fixture, while the outer cone, (or •hell) revolves; of being regulated in its feed by t simjt. nut; of utter simplicity and accurate con struction, these Mills present yet another, and a uvtft invaluable feature, to which public attention is < lyeevtUy tut tied— and which we believe renders it totally superior to any Mill extant—to-wit: the 1 rollers, which are adjustable, and the principle claim under the Patent i employed on the periphery of the revolving or outer cone, at its base. These rollers (interdicted in other machines) when once adjusted serve to keep the cones, under all circumstances, equi-distant on every side (no matter how often the change of feedt, and utterly prevent (be oscilating, or rocking motion other wise incident to the revolving cone, and insepara ble from the moving cones of other Mills. As among the incalculable advantages of this arrangement, we suggest that there can he no crowding of the feed on any one side of tin* .Mill more than another, which in other Mills often brings iu actual contact, the sides of the Mill oppo site to that excessively crowded, while it immeas urably increases the resistance to the moving power. Again, while the yield is of more uniform consistency, the cones may be brought almost to gether, without danger of actual contact when iu operation—. the result oftentimes of the rocking, j or vibratory motion in other Mills, > as the rollers I serve to preserve, under all circumstances, the re j lative distance of the cones from each other. Thus the very finest material mav be ground without the danger of actual contact between the cones; i i without the wear and teat incident to this contact; and w ithout the increased and irregular resistance | caused by this contact—advantages which even ! reflecting mind will agree, cannot he over estima- - \ ted, and which stamp this Mill incomjMU'ahly the i j V>-/ known ! Specimens of the grinding of this j Mill may he seen, of meal, shelled oats and rve, ! which cannot he surpassed by the best Burr ! Stones. A a recent public experiment, a single i horse ground al the rate of fifteen bushels of ma teria! from shelled corn,, to the hour, of which | more than one-fourth was meal, passed through a i No. is sieve the balance hominy and stock feed in equal parts. A small pony worked with an 8 ! foot lever, a No. 2 Mill, giitiding eight to leu bushels to the hour, without ditiicultv. The ‘torn and cob ground together, exhibited beautiful ; specimens ol .stock feed, which evert true econo mist should employ, even where there are hut three or four animals Iu supply. The capacity of the Magic depends, in a measure, on the kind and on the quality of the material ground. No. 1. MELL’S PATENT PLOW STOCK! FBI HE undersigned has invented and patented j 9 a most valuable improvement in the PLOW STOCK- the county rights for which lie desires to i sell. He prefers to let others speak its praise, and ! therefore introduces the following certificates, from ! two planters, well and favorably known in the community in which they reside. He might in troduce manv others, but the Plow Stock will i speak for itself whenever examined. JAMES B. MELT.. Riceboro’, Liberty county, Ga. This is to certify that 1 have, with my own hands, ! thoroughly tested the newly invented Plow Stock i ot James B. Moll, Esq. In point of simplicity and ! perfection, I have never seen or used Us equal. In ii is combined every tiling that 1 could wish in a i Plow Stock, and it, in my opinion, is the cheapest and the best that has ever been offered to the pub- s lie. I speak front having used it with my own I hands. I was raised to follow the plow, and think : that I know how one ought to run. I would cheer- : fully thank any one, who will thoroughly try it, to j point out to me one single fault in it. Ii is easier upon the horse and the plowman than any that I j have ever used. The principle upon which you regulate ttie depth i of the Plow is so simple, and yet so perfect, as to I commend itself to any one; and the Stock isadapt- i ed to any kind of Plow Hoe. It is, moreover, just j as light as any could desire it to be. I would re- I commend to any and all, if they wish the best and i cheapest Plow Stock, without hesitation to get Mr James li. Moll’s, D. YV. YYii.sox. Penfield, Ga., April 10, Ik.'R.. In company with several others, I, this day, wit- j nessed the trial of Mr. James B. Moll’s Plow Stock, j by Mr. 1). YV. Wilson, and cheerfully state that all ' present were fully satisfied that it does everything ; as stated above. I would, moreover, state that I ' have been using them on my farm for several j months, and every day serves to confirm me in the I opinion of the superiority of Mr. Moll's Plow Stock I to all others now in tiso.
