Augusta, Ga., July 16, 1855, jy l7 FREE TRADE AND NO MONOPOLY. Opposition to High Freight Tariffs ! Office of the Fashion Line, I Augusta, April 15, 1851. f tllllE subscriber would respectfully call the i aattention of the Merchants throughout Geor gia, Tennessee, Alabama, and South Carolina, to the Savannah River, as a safe, expeditious and cheap route for the transportation of their Merchan dise. By comparing the freight tariffs of this line yvitli those of the South Carolina, and Central, and Waynesboro’ Railroads, it will show a result in fa vor of this route of from 30 to 50 percent., gener ally, and in some instances a greater per centage. i>v this route a merchant receives each shipment of his Goods together; they are not retailed by him as they generally are by Railroads connecting with the seaboard, with a list of charges attached t.i each package. In addition to the present force of this line, an other new Boat, of light draught of water, yvill be added during the coming summer. These boats yvill leave Savannah after the discharge of the Neyv York and Philadelphia Steamships, twice or three times a yy eek, delivering those Goods at this point in FIVE DAYS. From the present loyy tariff of this line a dedue - tionof 12V4 per cent, yvill he allowed on all bills from this date. Give the river more business, and a cheaper freight yet awaits you. All goods from the seaboard should be directed to M. A. COHEN, Savannah, and produce from the interior to JNO. A. MOORE,, Augusta. To the manufacturing portion of Georgia, as well as to the Cotton Merchants, and dealers generally, on the line of Railroads through Georgia' and Ten nessee, yvho ship to Savannah and Northern mar kets, this route offers very favorable inducements. To facilitate shipments, as yvell as to prevent er rors, bills of lading should be forwarded to M. A. COHEN, at Savannah, forall goods from seaboard. JNO. A. MOORE. AYER'S CATHARTIC PILLS OPERATE by tlieir powerful . influence on the internal (jSjieSS viscera to purify the blood and J i stimulate It into healthy action. f AaWfiEj& They remove the obstructions of thestomach, bowels, liver, and other organs of the body, and, f Milk by restoring their irregular ac- ,W-,: 5* .jLy i tion to health, correct, wherev- LaC' er they exist, such derangements S»iswj»ju»n»vmiiuiiiiiMii as are the first causes of disease. An extensive trial of t their virtues, by Professors, Physicians and Patients, 1 has shown cures of dangerous diseases almost beyond belief, were they not substantiated by persons of such 1 exalted position and character as to forbid the suspicion of untruth. Their certificates are published in my : American Almanac, which the Agents below named are pleased to furnish free to all inquiring. Annexed wo give Directions for their u<e in the com plaints which they have been found to cure. For Costivsskss —Take one or two Pills, or such quantity as to gently move the bowels. Costive ness is frequently the aggravating cause ol Pii.es.and thecuic of one complaint is the cure ol berth. No person can feel well while under a costive habit of body. Hence it should be. as it can he. promptly relieved. For Dyspepsia, which is sometimes the cause ol C as ticeness, and always uncomfortable, take mild '1 o-.es ' frour ouo lo four—to stimulate the stomach and liver into healthy action. They will do it, and the heartburn, body bum and soulbura ol dyspepsia will rapidly di.-ap- I pear. When it has gone, don t forget what cured you. For a Foil Stomach, or Morbid Inaction of the Bowels, which produces general depression ol thespir ■ its and had health, take from four to eight Pills at first, and smaller doses afterwards, until activity and strength • , is restored to the system. . For Nervousness, hie* Hlaoache, Nausea, l tun in the Stomach, Back, or Side, take from four to eight Pills on going to bed. If they do not operate sufficient lv. take more the next day until they do. Many dreadful ulcers a'd ] sores have been healed up by the purging and purifying 1 effect of these Pills, and some disgusting diseases which seemed to saturate the whole system, have completely yielded to their influence, leaving the sufferer in perfect health Patient ’ your duty to society forbids that you . should parade vourself around the world covered with ; pimples, blotches, ulcers, sores, and all or any of the , unclean diseases of the skin, because your system wants cleaning. . . ! To Purify tuu Blood, they are the best medicine j ever discovered. Tbey should be taken freely and fre quently, and the impurities which sow the seeds of iu -1 curable diseases, will be swept out of the system like chart before the wind. By this property they do as much good in preventing sickness as by the remarkable cures ■ ! which they are making everywhere. ■ Liver Complaint.
