When tbe pure medicinal restorative, tow so wide
ly known aa WOLFE'S BCHIEDAM SONAPPB,
was introduced Into the world under the indorsement
of 4 000 leading members of the medical profession,
some twenty years ago, its proprietor was well aware
that he could not wholly escape the jieualty attached
to all new and useful preparations. He therefore en
deavored to invest it with strongest possible safe
guards against counterfeiters, and to render all at
tempts to pirate it difficult and dangerous. It was
submitted to distinguished chemists for analysis, and
pronounced by them the purest spirits ever manufac
tured. Its purity and properties having been thus
ascertained, samples of the article were sent to ten
thousand physieluns, including all the leading prac
titloners in the United States, for pui poses of ex
periment. A circular, requesting a trial of the prepa
paration and report of the result, accompanied each
specimen. Four thousand of the most eminent med
ical men in the Union promptly responded. Their
opinions of tho article were unanimously favorable.
Buch a preparation, they said, had long been wanted
by the profession, as no reliance could be placed on
tho ordinary liquors of commerce, all of which were
more or less adulterated, and therefore unfit for medi
cal purposes. The peculiar excellence and strength
of the oil of juniper, which formed one of the principal
ingredients of the Sehnapps, together with an un
alloyed character of the alcoholic element, give it, In
the estimation of the faculty, a marked superiority
over every other diffusive stimulant as a diuretic,
tonic and restorative.
The following are a few of the testimonials in favor
of the Schnapps:
Mr. Udolpbo Wolfe , 22 Beaver street, New York:
■ Dbak Pir : 1 fee! bound to say that I regard your
Schnapps at being in every respect pre-eminently

safely prescribed by physicians.

A/ia, aau wvuiu lh»cc- uuunuou aw juuuoi , wuv
you wished to kuow what per cent. I was ben
efited by the use of the one ton of SOLUBLE
PACIFIC GUANO, bought of you last Bpring,
aud 1 could not tell correctly until I got
through ginning, which 1 did this ia6t week.—
The SOLUBLE PACIFIC GUANO more than
doubled the yield of Cotton on land unmanured
before.
I planted ten acres last year without manure,
and made three (3) bales ol Cotton ; planted
the same ten (10) acres this year, manured with
the one ton of SOLUBLE PACIFIC GUANO,
and made seven (7) bales, averaging over 400 lbs.
I have been a Cotton Planter tor thirty yenrs,
and all tbe time—ex'-ept this year—making
“ Bumble-bee Cotton "—the bumble bees stand on
their hind feet, on the ground, and suck from the
top blossoms. I never expect to plant another
sere without Manure, and wish you to send me
another ton of Soluble Pacific at once, and oblige
Yours, truly,
JOHN C. WILLIAMSON.
