An Enormous Issue of FroßmA State
Bonds— A Huge Swindle. —The time has
Passed for surprise at anything that may
be done by those who rule in Florida. And
a fact leaked out on Friday last which
astonished the most inveterate believer that
nothing more can be done than has already
been done. The fact tojwhich we refer is
tbe issue by the Governor of three millions
°f State 8 per cent, gold bearing bonds to
fien. M. 8. Littlefield, representing the
Florida Central and the Jacksonville, Pen
sacola & Mobile Railroad Companies, in
for bonds of a similar amount of
those corporations. Four millions of State
bonds have been signed and sealed, but as
lar as can ire learned, for much secresy sur
rounds the whole transaction, three mil
•lons have only as yet been delivered. It is
Possible that the Governor, who left on
Sunday night, as is supposed forthe North,
carried with him the remaining million.
We have characterized this transaction
as “ a huge swindle,” and such it is so far
as public expectation was concerned, and,
as is believed, so far as the Intention of the
legislature can be gathered.

THE LIVING MACHINE.
Injure the main spring <fa watch, and every por
tion of he works becomes disordered. Thu human
stomach is to the human system what that elastic
piece of metal is to a chronometer. It influences tbe
action of tbe other organs, and controls, to a certain
extent, the whole living machine. The comparison
may be carried further; for as the weakness or other
imperfections of the main spring is indicated on the
face of the time piece, so also is the weakness or other
disorder of the stomach betrayed by the face of the
invalid. The complexion is sallow or faded, the eyes
aro defleient in lustre and intelligence, and there is a
worn, anxious expression in the whole countenance
which tell as plainly as written words could do, that
the orbit nourishing ORGAN, whose office It is to
minister to the wants of the body, and to sustain and
renew all its parts, is not performing its duty. It re
quires renovating and regulating, and to accomplish
this end Hostetter's Btomach Bitters may he truly
said to bo ma onb tbino nbbdful. Tho broken
main spring of a watch may be tep’acod by anew
one, but the stomach can only be repaired and
strengt bened, and this is one of the object* of the
famous vegetable restorative which for eighteen years
has been waging a sucoessful contest with dyspepsia
in all climates. Asa specific for indigestion, it
stands alone. When the resources of the pharma
copeia have been exhausted, without, at best, doing
more than mitigating the complaint, a course of this
wholesome and palatable, yet powerful, stomachic
effects a perfect and permanent cure. In all cases of
dyspepsia the liver is more or less disordered, and
upon this important gland, as well as upon the stom
ach and bowels, the Bitters act with singular dis
tinctness, regulating and teinvigoratiug every secre
tive and assimilating organ on which bodily and
mental health depend je3-tl&

Koskoo Cures Scrofula in its Worst Forms.
From A. W. Mills, a prominent and well
known Merchant of Norfolk, Va.:
No. 11 Main street, Norfolk, Va., September 15, 1869.
Dk. Lawrence— Dear Sir: Your Koskoo
has worked wonders in my family. My daugh
ter has been t sufferer from Scrofula siuce
childhood. She lost thirty-one pieces of bone
from her ankle, several Irom her arm, besides
having ulcers in several parts of the body.—
Whilst in this condition she commenced taking
your Koskoo— it acted like a charm on her ; un
der its use the ulcers gradually healed , and her
general health greatly improved. It certainly
saved her much suffering, and perhaps her life.
I regard Koskoo a specific lor all scrofulous
affections. Your Koskoo also cured my wife
of dyspepsia, from which she suffered greatly.
She is now in better health than she has been in
five years.
With the highest regards,
I am gratefully yours, &c.,
A. W. MILLS.
Koskoo is endorsed by the best physicians
everywhere. Read the following from Dr.

Du. J. J. Lawrence- -Dew Sir: I have used
your Concentrated Fluid Extract of Koskoo in
my practice with tbe happiest results. 1 find it
to be a powerful Liver Invigorator , Blood Pu
rifier, and Nervous Tome. In all diseases of
the Liver, Scrolulous, Syphilitic and Nervous
Affections, it is a remedy of immense value ;
in fact, in almost every variety of Chronic
Diseases its use is indicated. Hoping you
may meet with the success which you deserve

Dr J. J. Lawrence— Dear Sir : My son has
received so much benefit from your wonderful
Koskoo that I cannot retrain from expressing
my gratitude. I had tried almost everything
without benefit. I believe, in all sincerity, that
your Koskoo is an infallible remedy for the
disease from which he has suffered, and, so far
as I can learn, has never failed. If you only
knew the immense amount of suffering that he
has undergone, then you could conceive the
value of such a remedy as Koskcio— THAT 6U BELT

FROM DR. FHYBICIANOF LARGE

J. J. Lawrence, M. D.—Dear Sir : I cheer
fully endorse your Koskoo as being a most
valuable preparation. Upon examination of
the formula, I find each ingredient highly ex
tolled by our best and most progressive clini

my own practice, and have no hesitation in
recommending it. In my opinion, it is the best
compound of its class ever put before tbe pub
lic-exceeding by far all the various compounds
of Sarsaparilla, &c , ever invented. It is a de
cided Nerve Tonic, and Invigorator of the ani

and thereby producing healthy blood, which
should be the basis of treatment in all chronic

you deserve from the public as a benefactor
