he holds the within bond, or obligation, of Ira Christian,
deceased, late of Elbert county, bearing date the sth day or
April. 1853, binding the said Ira Christian to make good titles
unto the said William W. Tyn-:r, to a tract of land in Elbert
county, containing one hundred and forty acres of land on Ist
No. 6 of a re-survey made by Lloyd Thomas, on land originally
granted to David Cress veil, in Elbert county, afonsala: ana
the said Ira Christian has departed this life without executing
titles in conformity with said bond. It is, therefore, ordered by
the Court, that all persons concerned show cause, if any they
have, on or before the first Monday in May next, why titles
should not be made, or on failure of such cause being shown,
the Court will grant a rule absolute, requiring William T. Van
duzer. as Administrator on thq.estate of Ira Christian, deceased,
to make and execute titles to said tract of land unto the said
William W. Tyner, according to the tenor and effect of said

for the Deaf ftmt Dumb,” recently appointed by his Ex
cellency. desire* to call the attention of those Interested, to this
Institution as being now in readiness for the reception of pupils.
The enlargement and repairs of the building, provided for by
the legislature of 1866 and 1360, have been entirely completed,
and the whole edifice, being well arranged, and happily adapt
ed to the education of this unfortunate class, presents a most
tasteful appearance. Comfortable accommodations <«n i*>w
be furnished for over one hundred pupils. Will not the friends
of this Institution in every county in thq State, under whose
eye thUjiuiiue may full, urge the pure*ts of all indigent Deaf
Wc particularly aolicit the aid and co-operation of all
ministers of the Gospel of every denomination. In behaif of
the Asylum, and request them to ascertain the residence and
Post Office address of all the parents of deaf mutes in the

certificate signed by two or more Justices of the Inferior Court
of the county in which such applicant resides, certifying that
he or she is over seven and under twenty four years old, In in

tract. That company having failed, the whole establishment
has been sold at Sheriff's sale, and purchased by the under
signed and others at a mere nominal price; and none of us be

' This is one of the largest and best arranged Cotton Mills in
the Southern States. The main building is of the best granite,
two hundred and eight feet iong by fifty-eight feet wide; four
stories high with tire attic. The machiuery consists of eight
thousand spindles, with looms arul other corresponding ma
chinery ; repairing and blacksmith’s tools Ac. Connected with
which are two fine Wheat and two Corn Mills, all driven by
steam power and in good running order. The operatives’
house? are all framed wooden buildings, and conveniently situ
ated. This establishment is well located with regard to the
raw material well as the means of operating, and only six
teen miles from the Stone Mountain Depot, on the Georgia

The wheels are then revolved, and a number is drawn from
the wheel of Numbers, and at the same time a Prize is drawn
from the other wheel. The Number and Prize drawn out am
opened and exhibited to the audience, and registered by the
Commissioners; The. Prize being placed against the Numbw
drawn. This operation is repeated until all the Prizes ere draws
out.
APPROXIMATION PRIZES.
The two preceding and the two succeeding Numbers to thorn
drawing the first 7 Prizes will be entitled to the 28 Approxima
tion Prizes. For example: if Ticket No. 11,250 draws the
$70,000 Prize, those Tickets numbered 11,248, 11,249 n
11,252, will each be entitled to S4OO. If Ticket No. 660
the SBO,OOO I’rize, those Tickets numbered 548, 549, 661, osi.
will each be entitled to S3OO, and so on according to the above
Scheme.
The 5,000 Prizes of S2O will be determined bythe last figure
of the Number that draws the $70,000 Prize. For example, if
the Number drawing the $70,000 Prize ends with No. if then
all the Tickets, where the number ends In 1, will be entitled to
S2O. If the Number ends with No. 2, then all the Tickets, where
the Number ends in 2, will be entitled to S2O, and so on to e
Certificates of Packages will be sold at the following rates,
