Houses, and other necessary buildings, ail under good repair.
If not sold before the first Monday m October, it will be dis
posed of at public outcry at Edgefield C. H., S. Those de
siring a valuable plantation, would do well to call and see for
themselves. One or the other of the Executors may be al
wavs found on the premises, and will be pleased to show the

Iwill give fifty dollars reward for the apprehension and de
livery, in Jail, of my girl. Clory Ann, who runaway from
my plantation, on the 2Sth cf June. She la about five feet
high, very black, rat her flat nose, one of her front teeth out,
one linger so crooked that she cannot straighten It, quick and
pleasant spoken, about 38 or 40 years old. She has a sister
and other relations iu and above Au* usta. and formerly lived
tnere herself. She has probably gone to that place.

. tate of the late Col. William Tonev, deceased, will be
. sold, by order of Court, at Fort Gaines, Clay county, Georgia,

This Plantation lies on the Chattahoochee river, five miles
above T ort Games, the Western terminus of the South-west -
ern railroad, and on the road from the latter place to Eufauia.
on which a daily stage nasses. It has tine improvements, to
w:t; a new two-story Dwelling House, large and commodi
ou3, with seven rooms, all ceiled and painted, with brick
chimneys to six rooms, n new Gin House and new Cotton
Screw and framed Negro Houses, all new and complete. The
house lot and negro houses are well watered, and so is every
nelu on the plantation ; a good garden and orchard of apples,
pears, peaches, Ac., attached. There are about eight hundred
acres of corn and cotton land in cultivation, all nearly a dead
level, whose productive quality can be judged from the fact
well authenticated, that thirty hands have actually cleared
sixty two thousand d liars from 1850 to 1857. from the sales of
Bir, crops of corn and cotton made on the place, and this, too,
over and above all plantation expenses.
This Plantation lies on the Georgia side < f the Chattahoo.
cliee. opposite to Col. Archibald McKays, and contains about
twelve hundred acres of land, more or less, a:ul will be sold
on the usual favorable credits of land sales, all to he specially
declared on the day of sale.
South-western Georgia is the cotton grow’r.g region proper;
and as these river plantations sell at from ten to fifteen dollars
per acre, an opportunity will now be offered to the public to

One Plantation In the 3d District, containing nine hundred
acres, eight hundred cleared, and in a fine state of cultivation.
A good Dwelling House, Negro Houses for thirty-five working
hands, a good Gin House and Packing berew are upon it. The
place is noted for its productiveness, good water and good
health. It lies one mile from the White Sulphur Springs,
where Is a good School and Churches.
The Cold Spring Plantation in the 2d District, containing
one thousand four hundred acres, seven hundred cleared, and
in a high s'ate of cultivation, and nearly or quite all fresh.
This place lies near the Warm Springs, and takes its nan e
from the celebrated cold spring which is upon it. On this
plantation is the Merchant Mill which has long been known
in the State for the superior flour made at it, now in first rate
condition, run by the never failing waters of the cold spring.
Also, Negro Houses for thirty-five or forty working hands, and
a first rate water Gin and Packing Screw.
' The Plantation on which Col. Welbom resided, in the 2d
l District, containing three t housand acres, nearly two thousand
cleared, and in a high state of cultivation. On this place is a
§ood Dwelling House, and all necessary out houses for a resi
ence; Orchards of the best fruits. A first rate water Gin,
good Packing Screw, and Negro Houses for seventy-five work
-1 hands. All necessary Shops for a complete plantation.
, No plantation in Georgia deserves a higher reputation for
> health than this, it also lies near the Warm Springs, one of
the most attractive watering places in the United States, ana
will be divided, if purchasers desire it.
It will be a long time before the same amount of land, em
bracing all the advantages of health, climate, society, and pro
ductiveness, will be offered In one day ; and persons desirous
to purchase are invited to examine them now while the ciops
are upon them. The Overseers at each plantation will show t£e
