Let every patriot rally, and vote down this nefarious
offspring of a bastard Convention, called a Constitution.
Its triumph will be the death knell of all that is sacred to
honor and dear to manhood. Indifference at such a time
would be pusillanimous, and submission a crime. Spu
rious and corrupt in origin, and destructive in all its ef
fects and tendencies, it must be defeated “ or we perish.”
▼ote it down—by all that time, association, God and
memory have rendered sacred, vote it down.

Os all the medicines that have been discovered dm*
tng the present age for the “ thousand ills that flerfi is
heir to,” none equal this wonderfn preparation. Only
ten years have elapsed since the discoverer (who spent
a decade in studying experiments, and prelecting it)
first introduced it to the public, and it is already re
cognized by the most eminent physicians in all parts
of the country, to be the most surprising and effective
remedy for certain diseases of which they have any
knowledge.
All other Compounds or Syrups of this root have
hitherto failed to command the sanction of the Facul
ty, because on being tested, they have been found to
contain noxious ingredients, which neutralize the good
effects of the Sarsaparilla, and oftentimes injure the
health of the patient. It is not so with HURLEY’S
preparation.
This is the pure and genuine extract of the root, and
and will, on trial, be found to effect a certain and per

Affections of the Bones, Habitual

REMARKABLE CURE OF CANCER ON THE
FACE OF FOURTEEN YEARS’ STANDING.
This will certify that I have suffered with cancer
on my face for the past fourteen years. It has re
sisted all treatment, until I applied to Dr. L. DeLacee,
at the Augusta Hotel, the 10th day of last month.
He took the eancer out, roots and all, the Bth day, by
medicines. It healed of its own accord, and now I
am entirely cured of cancer, and able to say to all that
may be afflicted with this most terrible disease that,
if yon apply in time, while your case is curable, you
will be cured. The Doctor has cured others in the
same time, some that I am acquainted with, who
live in this city. lam sixty years of age, and have
resided in Augusta four years.

MORE EXTRAORDINARY CURES.
Augusta, Ga., November 21,1867.
This will certify that I have been afflicted with can

I could not rest night or day. It was with great diffi

life. It resisted all medical treatment, and finally eat
entirely through the roof of my mouth into my uose.
I applied to Dr. De Lacee just four weeks ago to
dav, and am now able to announce, for the benefit of
those that may be suffering from this terrible disease
that I am entirely cured of cancer, and restored to
perfect health, and am as well as I was before being
afflicted. Miss Beulah Guillard.

I certify to the facts in my case for the benefit of
those that are afflicted with cancer. I have suffered
with eating cancer upon my face and nose for the past
seven years. I was prostrated in general health and
as weak as a child, and was unable to walk to see the
doctor- my son took me in a carriage. My cancer at
that time was eating away and spreading faster every
day I applied to Dr. DbLaceb, at the Augusta Hotel,
four weeks ago last Saturday, and now I am healed
of cancer, restored to health and strength and have
an excellent appetite, and am gaining more strength
daily. I cannot express my gratitude for my deliver

PROF. ROBERTS. LATE OF NEW ORLEANS and
Memphis, the great Magnetic Healer, will treat all
manner of diseases and afflictions not incurable, at the
AUGUSTA HOTEL, Augusta, Ga., until May Ist, 1868.
By Animal Magnetism we claim that the diseased
and deranged action of the nervous and vacnlar systems
are-Restored to a Perfect Equilibrium much more readily
than by any other means known to the medical world,
either in the Present or Past ages. “ Nature must do
the Healing,” is the saying of every sensible and honest
physician, and that “ all we can do in case of sickness is
to Aid Nature,” This Prof. Roberts aims to do by the
great science of Animal Megnetism, and that too
Without Drugs 1 It is the only system of Medication
that has God as its authority and example or that can
be sustained by science or common sense. Consultation
free. Letters to be answered must be accompanied with

Prof. Roberts treats successfully the following
named diseases, together -with many other farms of
human maladies not herein specified, viz:
All diseases of the Brain, Rheumatism, Nervous
Debility, Neuralgia, Weak Spine, Curvature of the
Spine, Inflamed Sore Ey s. Paralysis, Weak Eyes,
Partial Blindness, Dropsical Tumors, Ulcers, Scrofula
in Its varied forms, Consumption, Diabetes, Weakness
of the Limbs, Bronchitis, Loss of Voice, Palpitation
of the Heart, Diseases of the Liver, Kidneys and Bow
els, Dyspepsia, Falling of the womb, Suppressed
Menses, Catarrh, all kinds of Sexual Diseases, Impu
rities of the Blood, Ac., &c. Paralysis and Deafness
are the most uncertain of all diseases to cure, although
patients afflicted even with those terrible maladies
will be more or less benefitted. if not cured, by Mag

Augusta, Ga., April 9th, 1868.
This is to certify that I have been paralyzed
in both my legs and left arm since July, 1866.
I have been attended by different medical
Doctors of this city, without deriving any bene
fit from their treatment, but, on the contrary,
seemed to grow worse.
When Professor Roberts arrived here I was
advised to visit him, at the Augusta Hotel, which
I did. It required the assistance of three men
to take me up the stairs of the Hotel to Dr.
Roberts’ rooms. I have taken the twelfth treat
ment at the hands of the Professor, and have
been so far relieved as to be able to »se my arm
as well as 1 ever did, and with as much power,
and can walk a considerable distance with ease,
and find my general health very much improv
ed. All this I ascribe to th? power of Animal
Magnetism, as practiced by Prof. Roberts.
[Signed] Michael Sullivan.
We are personally acquainted with Mr. Sulli
van, and can vouch for the truth of the above
statement. We have observed from time to
time the decided improvement which has mani
fested itself in his condition since he has been
treated by Professor Roberts.

Augsuta, Ga., March 80,1868.
In June, 1867,1 was residing in Memphis,
Tenn. I have been suffering from Piles for
twenty-eight years, the last eight of which I
had been almost unfitted for business of any
kisd, and bad no hope of a cure. A nephew
of mine had suffered fifteen years with the
same complaint; he went to Philadelphia, was
four months under Doctor Paneost; submitted
to an operation with the knife, and was finally
cured, for which he paid one thousand dollars ;
besides his expenses to and from Philadelphia,
1 called on Prof. Roberts and received three
treatments by Animal Magnetism at his hands,
and was entirely cured, and am well ; yet for
which I paid twenty dollars. I would not to
day be placed again in the condition you found
me ten months ago, and with as little hope of a
cure as I had before your three treatments, for
twenty thousand dollars.
Very truly, yeurs,
J. L. Grace,
336 Broad street, Augusta, Ga.
Augusta, Ga., March 13, 1868.
I hereby certify that 1 have been partially
paralyzed for four years—lour months of that
time I was not able to make a step, or even so
much as move one of my toes on either loot,
and was entirely destitute of feeling in my
legs.
1 was examined by forty eight Confederate
Army Surgeons, all pronouncing me incurable
—having Curvature of the Spine, which pro
duced paralysis. I commenced taking treat
ment of Professor Roberts March 4th, and
now, after taking nine treatments, by Animal
Magnetism, I feel like a “ new creature!” I can
now standup, and walk any desired distance,
without crutches or canes, which was utterly im
possible for more than four years before seeing
Dr. Roberts !
For reputation and responsibility I refer
those interested to Mr. W. A. Ramsey, Mr.
Edward Rodgers, Mr. John M. Clark, Mr.
Nicholas Youngblood, and Mr. John Houston,

March 6th, 1868. $
This certifies that I have been a great sufferer
with Rheumatism for five years, my left ankle
being much swollen, very stiff and painful. I
was treated twice, only, by Dr. Roberts, at the
Augusta Hotel, February 18th and 20tb, 1868,
and uow have not one symptom of Rheumatism
or pain in my body. All the medicine I had
taken seemed to make me worse, and I uever
had any relief until 1 was treated manguetically.
People may laugh— but 1 have no more rheu
matic pains—that’s so.
I work in Augusta Hotel.

Atlanta, Ga., February 5,1868.
To whom it may corneern ! This will certify
that for eight months past I have been afflicted
with Neuralgia in the right side of the face, and
most of the time suffered most excruciating
pain, during which time I have sought relief in
vain’from the regular medical profession; and
I further certify that I was relieved the first
time I was treated by Prof. Roberts, and appa
rently permanently cured after being treated the
third time. I most confidently recommend him
to all similarly afflicted.
J. B. Lanier.
Atlanta, Ga., March 3d, 1868.
This certifies that I have suffered exceedingly
with a large tumor, on the left side of my face,
for twenty-five years. During this age of tor
ture it has been removed twice by painful sur
gical operations, which only seemed to aggra
vate its growth. When Dr. Roberts came to
Atlanta I took treatment Dy Animal Magnetism,
and have been greatly benefitted by him, in
point of truth, more than by the entire twenty
seven “regular” doctors who have attended
113 Under the treatment the tumor softened and
reduced in size, the hearing in my left ear has
been restored, and my left arm, which was al
most useless, has been restored to its original
strength. I can now sleep on my left side—a
thing 1 could not do for many years before. I
firmly believe if I could continue the treatment
the tumor would entirely disappear.
Mrs. J. G. McLin.
Professor ROBERTS will continue is heal the sick,
at the Augusta Hotel, until May 1,1868.

How many men owning good Water Powers have

LIVER
Do what it proposes ? Read the answer.
Bainbridge, Gn., Dec. 2, 1868.
Dr. C. A. Simmons, Barnesville, Ga.;
Dear Sir : We are out of your REGULATOR,
which we consider a most valuable medicine. In
every case that we have heard from, it has given en
tire satisfaction, and is destined to prove a great bless
ing to those afflictedjwith Dyspepsia, or other diseases
arising from disordered liver. We have heard
some to whom we have sold it, say they would not
take ten thousand dollars for the benefit received
from its use; and others, that it would not only do
all that you claim ior it, but more. You will please
send us a supply immediately, and oblige,
Yours, respectfully, J. A. BUTTS & CO.

For all derangements of the Liver, for Dyspepsia,
Chronic Diarrhcea, Piles, Ac., DR. SIMMONS’ REG
ULATOR has no superior. It acts on the Liver
without debilitating the system, and without any of
the evil effects of mercury. I'have tried it tborughly,
and speak what I know.
