A Scourge —Grasshoppers in immense I
swarms are making fearful havoc among 1
the grain on the upper Mississippi. At
Little Fulls, Minnesota, they destroyed
all the crops. A t Elk river, they appear
ed in a swarm that seemed like’ a cloud,
and lightiug upon a twenty acre corn
field, destroyed the whole crop in a short
time. At crow Wing they aligh'ed upon
a farm and destroyed 5,000 bushels of
