Friday night who was stealing

yard. He saw the negro in the
act of carrying off tlie wood
when he ordered him to drop the
pine. The negro’s reply was:

too,” and fired before Blanchard
thought what he intended to do.
The ball entered Blanchard's
stomach, and will probably result

deed he has committed.
