A colored woman in Schley
county hired her little 8-year old
son, Butler Ross, to a colored man
named Wilson, as a nurse. On
Saturday night. May 22nd, Wil
son whipped the boy, Butler, tor
killing a chicken or a kitten, and
the little fellow planned and exe

Tuesday evening. May 25ib.
while the parents were at work in
the field, he says lie set fire to tile
bedding in the cradle or crib in
which the child was sleeping, and

questioned he first staled that he
