A Brave Girl.

She had insisted upon bis stand
ing trial and clearing his name
before he could claim her hand.
Burleigh is a very gentlemanly
looking young man, rather fine
looking. Karly last winter he
visited Wilmington, and in a sa
_Ii>on made the acquintance of S.
xdoyd Roddy, a’young man of
that city, and two or throe others.
Shortly after they had separated
Roddy discovered that his watch
was missing and had the party ar-

later Burleigh was arrested in

contradictions of skillfully con
ducted examinations. To them
are submitted the intricacies of

shades and shadows of distinction
