Fla., says: A very ex citing and sanguinary contest be* tween a huge hull, alligator and several head of cattle occurred a few miles bflow here, on the bank of Lake Tohnpakalign, in which the alligator was killed and two bulls so badly injured that they had to he shot, ami another was rendered almost hors de com bit. A parly of hunters, several of them visitors from the Tropi cal hotel here, were eamping out on the lower shell mound, eight miles southeast of here, which overlooks the lake, though several hundred rod. from the shore, which is marshy and grassy.
