OBITUARIES | WILLIE HOOKS Willie Hooks of 1135 Dugas Street died Thursday (Dec. 20) in a local hospital. He was a native of Sandersville, Ga., but had lived in Augusta for 30 years. He was a deacon of Jerusalem Baptist Church and employed as a carpenter for Nixon Construction Co. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sadie Hooks; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Miriam Anderson, Mrs. Mary Lou King, New York City and Mrs. Elizabeth Watkins, Brooklyn, N.Y., one sister, Mrs. Claudia Neal, Sandersville, Ga.; and three brothers, George Hooks and James Hooks, Milledgeville, Ga., and Nemiah Hooks, Detroit, Mich. Friends may call at the residence or at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements will be announced by William & Dotson Funeral Home. CHARLIE MOSS Charlie Moss of 1566 Wooden Rd. died Friday (Dec. 21) at a local infirmary. Survivors include one daughter, Miss Julia Moss, four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Moore, Mrs. Mary Wiley, Mrs. Gladys Wilson, and Mrs. Julia Bradshaw; three brothers, Mr. Major Moss, Mr. Albert Moss, Mr. Robie Moss; two grandc h i Idern, two great-grandchildren, neices, nephews and cousins.
